Face lift and the school bus

So, I am scheduled for my lower face/ neck lift on Feb. 16. Tis is a Thursday. My husband will be off until the following Tuesday. My question is, will I be up to putting my son on the school bus by that following Wednesday? I figure a hat, scarf, and sunglasses can be my friend. I don't want to scare the neighborhood kids, or give the local step ford wives anymore to talk about than I do already. Comments and suggestions are welcome here. Please!

Kate - congrats on your upcoming surgery!  I loved the comment "local stepford wives", I have the same problem but it's with stepford co-workers!

I haven't had your procedures but I'm sure you'll get a lot of advice from others on here who have.  If you're in a very cold climate, I'm thinking the hat, scarf and sunglasses would work!

Hi Kate. I had my face and neck done on a Monday.  On Thursday I was at the grocery store.  Friday out to lunch and a movie. I was in head bandages with a wide brim cotton at, sun glasses and scarf.

God luck!

Thanks Lee.  How was the pain level for the face. I survived my arms and breasts with minimal pain after day 3-4.

Kate, I also had my eyelids all done.

I'll answer you honestly and say that my face hurt more than all the body work I had done three days earlier.  It's painful behind the ears. I had them put the soft earplugs behind my easy and also in front to cushion from the bandages.  I had it done on 12/12 ans it's still tender.

That said, I love the results and would do it again.

Good luck!  I had a friend have one a month before me at kaiser and hers was done differently and hurt less.

Get Good pain meds!

I always appreciate honest answers. I saw you post earlier about the soft ear plugs. I will definitely get them.  Thanks.

Lee,

I just dont know how you had all that PS done at once.. I am amazed.. Were you taking the percocet (Oxycodone)? Vicodin? or something else.

The Perc made me feel like my body wasnt connected to my head.. weird medication..I dont know how people take that for more than a day or 2.

I was in a clinic from Friday to Wednesday.  Up until Tuesday I had Iv  pain meds.  on Tuesday I started oral tramadol, 50 mg twice a day.  I had some Vicodin that I cut into quarters and took 1/4 2-3 times a day.

Once I got home it was 1/4 Vicodin a few times a day.  I hurt for a long time.  Now I take Tylenol.
