Hi everyone. Wanted to pop in and say Hi so you wouldn't think I ran away to join the circus.

First a big shout out to those *****sponded to my last post.
I appreciate your kind words of encouragement.
It helps to commiserate. It really does.
We all get down...just important we don't stay there.
But when you are in the thick of it, its easy to wallow.

But I am better. Coming back to work and facing this huge mound of projects shocked me back to reality. I really needed to come to work and get my mojo back.

So, in terms of the update...my seroma that was drained last week came right back. (*****!!)

I saw my surgeon Tuesday, and he does not want to aspirate again. Too much risk of infection.
It has not gotten bigger so he is having me use warm compresses a few times a day and we will wait to see if it absorbs...albeit slooooowly. It is about the size of an egg.
He says the body can absorb 3 or so cc's a day.
This could take a while.

Of course if it turns red or hot...he will need to do sumthin else.
I see him again next week.
Till then...heat and compression are my orders!!

2 more stitch abscesses under my breast needed attention. He dug them out. Left 2 small open places that should close up easily now that the offending stitches are out.

The small wound separation under my arm has closed up and scabbed over.

So,other than that, I take no meds for pain anymore.

Wearing the Genie bra. (absolutely love!!!)
Got the compression sleeves that JuJu and others recommended after showing them to my surgeon.
He gave them the thumbs up.
I ordered two.
They bite my underarm incisions a bit but I stuff gauze under there and carry on!

Arm incisions burn and zing 24/7 but he says it will dissipate.

Nipples are so so sensitive!!!
I shower with my back to the water.
The cold wind here has not been my friend...if you get my drift.

On the upside...boobies are settling down and have softened up nicely.
They were swollen and square for the first week or two but look much much better this week.
Cute lil shape with high nipples.
I love it. So happy I went with no implant. They are taking a natural shape that I think I'm gonna love.
Side boob is gone. Yay!!

Wearing a tight-ish sweater today, and I'm not gonna lie...I like what I see.

Arms? I think they will not be as tight as I would have hoped. But the "wing" part is definitely gone. That is what I wanted. When I'm healed, I will put some work into my guns and I think it will be all good.

All in all...happy I did it.
But I was woefully unprepared for how hard the recovery would be.
TT was a piece of cake in comparison.

So, I'm gonna go read some posts and see how everyone else is doin!

Again thanks to all for your continued support.
This board rocks!

I'm so happy you checked in.  I came looking for an update from you yesterday.

It sounds like everything is on track for you, just slower than you would have liked.

I definitely hear you about showering with your back to the shower head.  I have one of those huge shower heads and if I turn towards it, I have to shield my breasts with my arm.  Ouie!

I'm glad getting back to work has been ok for you!

Yaaay, Beany!  So glad you are back to work and feeling better. Wanted to tell you that my seroma that I got after WLS was absorbed just fine so hopefully yours will, too.  Santa brought me a Genie bra, also.  It's good and I know I will like it even better after I get a BL.  I haven't decided yet about the BA.  Just really sitting on the fence...  The nipple sensitivity thing sucks. (Ha)  What do you do for that?  Warm compresses?  Thanks for being honest about the recovery process.  I'm trying to get myself mentally prepared, if that's even possible....
