Implant Massage

Hi all!

I had my follow up appt yesterday. I drove to the dr appt myself. This was a HUGE accomplishment for me. I felt like a student driver. My PS removed one of the drains which was fine for me. The drains output gave me some reassurance that everything seems to be going in the right direction.
My PS said everything looked great, no signs of infection etc. He said I had to start doing the massage. I was so terrified that I forgot to ask how to do my massage..he asked me to stop using my right had cause the muscle was tightening. Now, I have to call his office for further instructions.. Anyone have some advice on the implant/boobie massage thing.

Thanks,
Michelle

I don't have an answer, but was curious what kind of implant you chose?  and how  is the recovery, pain wise.

I chose saline.. honestly I am not into putting the silicone ones in.. I dont gamble..

The thing that hurts me the most is the thigh friggin lift... It makes it hard to get in and out of bed, a chair, the car.. I am on Tylenol 1 or 2 xs a day at this point. Days 1-4 narcotics..no joke.. the pain was a frigging 10.. The only thing I thought about during those first days was how someone else on this board I think Mike..said that things got so much better by day 5.. he was right.. At first, I was like WTF did I do..how could it be this painful?.. why didnt I buy a new car instead? ..buyers remorse for REAL... be prepared for those feelings.. remember that it will get better and it does..

It was frustrating cause I do everything myself.. not being able to do anything.. is like being a prisoner in your own mind.. I really feel sympathy for people who arent able to do things for themselves..bed ridden.. or disabled.. I swear after I get healed.. I am going to volunteer to help the elderly.. I dunno yet but maybe.. free errand service?
When I was kid, I would do this elderly woman's laundry, grocery shopping make her bed, get her newspaper.. etc for $1.00.  but maybe I could give back some how.. maybe read to the elderly? cause when I was in my bed for those 4 -5 days.. I would have enjoyed that..

Or maybe volunteer at a local food pantry.  Or in a nursing home to read to the elderly, or call bingo games.
