TT just feels like a kick in the stomach. You should be recovered in 2 weeks.

So the nonsense I heard yesterday from one of my instructors when trying to explain why I wanted to possibly suspend my gym membership for a couple months.

There is no difference between skin and the skin of someone who had weight loss surgery

A tummy tuck only feels like a kick in the stomach.

You should be recovered in 10 days to a week and ready to work out again.

Go do Dr _____ he does the best around here (His pics are horrid)

They will have to go all the way around won't they? To get rid of that? (Points to the love handle area)

SOOOO that's it. Not telling anyone else about my WLS unless they can benifit from it themselves. And from now on I'm having muscle repair not a TT. Sometimes...I hate people.

Don't let that idiot get to you. Most people are a lot more supportive then that. Hold your head up knowing you are doing what is right for you, and tell anyone you want or keep it to yourself, just don't let anyone else's attitude ruin yur day.

Or just tell them, I'm having a hernia repaired and the doctor is hand sewing it, so no working out for 8 weeks.  I'm cleared for walking on level ground only.

What a dip****  Some people just don't have a clue.

One thing just don't over do and keep up with your pain meds.

"And this is what it feels like to get kicked in the ass you idiot!" Oh, that wouldn't have been nice. Did she have one? How does she know? And how rude. You'd think dealing with people about their bodies she'd be a little kinder and gentler. I'd have wanted to say, "When you have an M.D. behind your name then perhaps you can speak to my medical care and suggested plastic surgical procedures, but until then, put my membership on hold you rude wench!!!!!" Wouldn't be nice if we could really say what we want to?

You can't fix stupid. Don't let her get to you. She's not worth it!

Have a good evening!

Some people will never understand. That's why I try not to tell people too much. Sorry you went through that. Did you have the TT yet or plan on it? If you haven't had it yet you should do it, I know I have been 10x happier with my personal appearance. Best of luck to you.

So many people are so ignorant and uniformed about topics but they open their mouths anyways and dispense their "wisdom".  I have even found the stupidity to be in the medical field where I had a nurse tell me that if just worked out more I could get rid of those bat wings that resulted from losing 170+ pounds. I had to change PC physicians because my first one kept referring to my choice to have weight loss surgery as my 'self mutilation'.

Just ignore that dumb**.  Find a number of "people are stupid" t-shirts to wear for when you do return to working out.   Think of this trainer when you get to the punching bag.

Others have said it all
How stupid can people be!
They are nor in your body nor did they do the work on or in your body!
Might I suggest you get a letter from your PS to give to the gym so they can put your membership on temporary hold due to "illness" and recovery.

Wow is all I can say.  I work out daily at a gym and before my LBL I was in great shape.  Was told no exercise at all, except for gentle walking, for SIX weeks.  Am now one week in since my LBL revision and am again on hold exercise-wise for four weeks.  Both times I have had my gym membership put on hold.  Simply told them in advance I'm having surgery, no questions asked.  Most trainers are paid per member or on commission and I'm thinking that's why you got that response.  If he/she is that uneducated, I would not let them train me when I am healthy!
