I was wondering if anyone could tell how much it costs to get a tummy tuck and breast lift? I have BCBSIL insurance. Do they cover the surgeries?

Thank you

A tummy tuck no. A Panniculectomy yes. You have to meet certain criterias but they will cover. Do you get rashes? Odor, or depending on the size.
See your primary and discuss it with them. If they don't believe in plastic surgery you can always look for a new primary!! Good Luck!! I see the PS on February 1st hoping I can getmine as well!

Every insurance plan is different.  It really depends on the plan that your employer has chosen.  I had to pay for my WLS and my PS.  My plan had a total exclusion for anything related to plastics irregardless if you met the criteria set by other plans.  It was not covered.  A TT is hardly ever covered, but a panni remove can be depending on your individual plan.  Call your insurance and ask them where you can find that information - see it in writing so that you know what is covered and how you document your situation.

Every insurance co is different. I have BCBS and they are covring my tummy tuck. I have a hernia though, so it was deemed medically necessary.

I have BCBS and they covered an extended tummy tuck with muscle repair.  I had rash/odor documentations and was approved right away!

BCBSIL covered everything in my sig line, but that's because my employer had them cover it in the original coverage plan.

Keep documentation of EVERYTHING - rashes, odors, pulled muscles, aches. What wound up really helping me were letters from my gyny's office about a pulled/torn chest wall muscle that required brachio as well as breast lift/reduction for healing, and letters from my orthopedic surgeon and PT about the need for skin excision on my thighs/lower buttocks to reduce muscle issues in my legs.

Think outside the box for what your excess skin might be causing, and see if medical professionals will support you.

I LOVE your creative thinking! I will be gettingmy first of hopefully many procedures - panniculectomy.  My pannus is 42 cm, so Class 4 - 5, no approval needed.  I am going to be using some creative methods, so I may contact you at a later time!!!

Thanks for sharing!!!

I had BCBS of IL when I had my TT and brachioplasty in 2009. They covered my TT and I self-paid for my arms. All of the info, including pix, is one my profile.

Good luck!
