How to handle questions post-LBL surgery?

Something generic -- like 'oh, I don't know, maybe just toning up what is there --- thanks for noticing' and then move on

You don't owe anyone any info you are not willing to share.

COnsidering that I have returned back to work a week and a half after LBL, I do look different as there was a lot of saddle bag lipo.  I have been honest with most people as they know I work out daily have been running and want to run a marathon or 1/2 in the future.  Anyway, I try to explain it to them that my "skin" feels like I am running without a bra, but in those areas.  People really do seem to understand.

and honestly the ones that are rumor mills and think it is all cosmetic OBVIOUSLY do not know me!

Amy - I totally get what you are saying about your skin.  That was the whole purpose of my LBL - when I walked, everything from my waist down as moving all over  .  Was wearing spanx-type stuff all the time, except at the gym.  Good luck on your running goals in the future!

I tell the truth because it is obvious my stomach is flatter and my bum is lifted and I did not do it that quickly through exercise. I also have family members who cannot keep their yaps shut, and I know from past experience that anything they know will leak out to the masses, so I just find it easier to be open. I have found that people are very supportive of "reconstructive surgery".

Psyche - I wish my co-workers were more understanding about reconstructive-type surgery.  If it was regular surgery it would be different.
