makeup that won't rub off to cover scars??

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good concealer that won't rub off on clothes.  I am going to a mardi gras ball in the end of the month and want to try to cover my brachioplasty scars a little bit.  I will be about 2 months out from surgery then.  The scars already look great, but I know I will feel more comfortable if I cover them.  I need a makeup that won't rub off on my clothes etc.  Any thoughts?  Thanks!

Dermablend is supposed to be good, but I've never tried it.

Which ball are you going to?  I haven't decided  if I'm going to one this year, yet.  I am having tt and brachioplasty this Friday.

I am going to Artemis in BR this year.  No Nola Balls for me this year. :( Which ones do you usually attend?

We love the Orpheuscapade. It follows the Orpheus Parade on Lundi Gras at the Convention Center.  The tickets are available to the public.  I will have to see if the arms can handle all of the bead catching!

If I may say..you could always go to a Macy's or Nordstroms and have all the makeup folks take a wack at covering the scars for you.. most give you a sample of the product.. I have also found Sephora good for this as well.. I have had my facial makeup done several times by MAC, Sephora, and Clinique.. for free..

Let us know how it turns out.. and what product works for you

I use Dermablend for covering burn scars. I follow it with the Dermablend setting powder. It's made for scars, but I don't know how it would hold up to being rubbed by clothes.

In fact, I don't think I've ever found any makeup for scars that could take much rubbing from fabric.

Go to Sephora and check out the Make Up For Ever - Face & Body Liquid Makeup. It stays on fairly well and comes in a great range of shades.

I've spent a bunch of money on DermaBlend to cover the scar from my necklift, and have been very dissatisfied.  It rubs off every time, and is very hard to remove from clothing.  I am going to try theatrical makeup next.  I hear it is more colorfast, but not found in the stores.
