I had my Extended TT, BL/BA, Lateral thigh lift with lipo on Tues.. OMG the worst pain has been the thighs.. its hard to get in and out bed or chair etc. For the 1st 3 days I .was totally dependent on my hubby and the hospital staff.. I am feeling a lot more mobile today. The PS changed my bandages today. I didnt look.. at the changes.. I was too scared.. Anyway, resting at home.. keeping up my protein and water and poop softener..

Glad you were able to post was wondering how things went for you.

It hurts like heck I know, but the first time I looked down and didn't see all that extra skin hanging there it made it all worth while.

Glad to hear your up moving around it gets a little better everyday, you'll be up running around in no time.

Keep up on your pain meds too, I hated waking up in pain drove me nuts.

Keep us posted

Get well fast.

Wow girl, you are so brave to have so much done at once!  The little things certainly are noticeable after surgery. For me it was not being able to lift my legs up to get into the tub for a shower.  Who knew I used stomach muscles to do that? Or the night I was trapped like a turtle in the recliner because everyone was sleeping and I couldnt get myself out.....

Don't worry about looking. You'll look when you are ready. I didnt peek for a week and then I cried because I looked so "normal" and could see my pubic area again without lifting up skin.

Rest easy and keep up the protein, water, and food.

It will get better.  Had a a LBL with A LOT of ouer thigh lipo last Thursday and things get easier each day.  Keep it up and each day will get easier.  I have been told and am agreeing that the lipo areas are what hurt the most and the longest.  (Lord help anything that touches my thighs! :-)  Anyway, I have found it best to continually walk every hour that way I seem to avoid getting stiff!

Stay strong this will get better!   I had abdominoplasty this summer and can not believe how much easier/smoother this recovery has gone.

Michelle,

You are a brave one!  I had the corset tummy tuck on the 19th and cannot imagine having any additional work done.  I dread waking up in the mornings because thats when the pain peaks since I have slept without being able to keep up on the meds.  This week I did convert over to just extra strength tyelnol but still are taking the muscle relaxers for the back pain.  I cannot wait to be able to stand up straight again.  It feels like a constant girdle sweezing me too tight.  I have looked and I am still in shock that the huge flap is gone.  Everything is so much closer now.... lol  Easier to manage and shower.  I feel so blessed.  I cannot wait to get the staples out I think it would be easier on the pain.  But it is getting easier every day.  Hang in there gal you doing great!  ~Sharon

I sleep with my pain pills in a ziploc in my bed.. I find that taking 1/2 every 3 hours works better for my pain control.. taking one every 4-5 hours..zonks me out in like a drunken state..not good.. I think the RNYrs probably do better with medication more frequently but at a lower dose..

I now find my thighs and back are sore from the hunch back of notre dame walk..

It will keep getting better and I'm sure by now you have noticed the progression. It's a slow process but oh so worth it in the end. Glad to know it's behind you and you are healing well! Keep up with the protein, it REALLY helps in the healing!
