Drains, boobs, and revisions--oh my!

Hey everyone. So I went to the surgeon today. He's decided to try to drain the seromas one more time before re-inserting the drains because they are not putting out that much fluid and he really didn't want me having to contend with drains for New Year's. I'm doing super tight compression with my abdominal binder over my spanx with a small pillow in the binder to put extra pressure on my seromas. Should look HOT on New Year's Eve! LOL! No, I will not wear all that out! :)

As far as the laxity in the breasts is concerned, we had a good talk and he is completely amenable to getting me some more lift during the revision to the pocket. He did show me that my nipple is, in fact, right at the point of the most projection of the breast and that is ideally where they want them. I told him that I don't care about them being textbook. I want them to be up higher so they have somewhere to go should they become more lax. He did say that without a reduction, I really couldn't get that much more firmness, but would get some with the raising of the nipple. I don't want to do any reduction because whenever it is that I decide to pull these implants out, which I can see myself doing as I enter my 50's, I want to have enough tissue for them to create a decent size breast with what is there. I'm feeling good about his explanation of why I have what I have and that he is willing to try to get me where it is I want to be.

We also talked about revisions to my mons and outer thighs. Again, he is not even hesitating for a second about doing the revisions and just asked that we get through the seroma stuff and give everything another couple months (6 month mark) to be sure everything is as settled as it can be before we go back in. He did say that if I have a reason (time off, kid's schedule, etc.) that I need to move it up a bit, he'd consider it if I ask really nice. ;)

So overall a productive visit. Now we'll see how it goes when we get down to the dollars and cents of it all closer to surgery time. As I think I said before, he did say there would be no surgeons fees and he even said today how easy both procedures I want/need done to my breasts would be, so that makes me feel good that he won't try to create any surgeons fees.

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas!!

Denise

Denise - it sounds like you had a very productive doctor's visit.  I sure hope that he is able to drain your seromas without having to re-insert the JP drains.

I'm glad that he is open to your thoughts and what you want as your final results to be.  You have a great PS!

You got everything you want, yay!  He's smart to ask you to wait six months to see what happens.

I'm happy for you.

Sorry your Hotness this one slipped by me, actually slept like a MOFO last 2 days kind of nice TRAZADONE is a workin. Sounds like a great outfit will I see it in the new Spring collection?

Sounds like a good visit to me, better than the last one I had. At least it sound like he wants to make it right by you after you paid a year of college for his kids. Let's hope he follows through when it comes to $$ you'll find out.

Have a good night I'm off to bed again zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
