Some questions
Had facelift/browlift & lower eyelid surgery 4 months ago. I am going for consult for BA/BL and brachioplasty next week. I have to have some touch-ups and possible revision of my facelift at about a year out. I had a pelvic prolapse surgery (abdominal) in October so need to wait a while for the LBL. A couple of questions...He wiil do the BA/BL and brachioplasty ONLY as it takes 5 hours and he doesn't want to take any longer. I had otoplasty done 15 years ago and the pulling from the facelift has caused my ears to pop out again. I also need to have the left eyelid re-lifted. Would it be better to just have him do the BA/BL and the touch-up work in one session and wait to do the brachioplasty with the LBL or should they all be separate operations? He does the LBL in his surgery center so doesn't want it to go over 5 hours. Also, is having the LBL done in a surgery center ok or should it be done in a hospital? Thanks for your responses...just trying to plan this out.
To be honest, I don't understand anything about the face work and cant give any advice.
I did, however, have my LBL/BL performed in a surgical center. My surgeon reccommended it be done at that location and I had no issues whatsoever. The center was capable of handling anything in case of emergency and if something very extreme happened I could be sent in an ambulance to the main hospital 5minutes away. First class staff and great service. I spent 2 nights in the surgery center. They only have 7 rooms total and most are not filled. I had 2 nurses at all times and as one of the few patients, I got excellent, attentive care. Since they have no kitchen, you order food in off a menu of a nearby restaurant. That was a perk!

I wish we had some sort of extended care surgical facility here. We don't. Have to go into hospital for overnight stuff. I see that you had Dr. L do your work. We here in Oregon have very little choice without going great distances. I had to travel 4+ hours for the facelift. None of my local docs (dermatologist, primary care, etc.) would recommend anyone local ( though we have some) so I went to a larger city. Am considering going to Phoenix, Az as they have experienced body lift surgeons. Glad your experience was positive and you were happy with the results.
