When does this get better?
I had 13 hours of surgery on December 9th. LBL, Breast, thigh, arms, butt aug and stomach tightening. Those first few days are rough.
I had the dizzies as well. I learned that I had to sit for awile before standing. I ate part of a protein wafer or drank apple juice before getting up to walk.
I almost passed out having my first shower on day three. Dr. Sauceda told me that I had to remove the compression garment and sit on the side of the bed for 30 minutes before standing to go shower. That did the trick along with eating something to keep my blood pressure up.
I promise you'll feel better soon!

Lee,
I learned that after my first time fainting. Take the garment off and "dangle" on the side of the bed for 30 or 40 mins to allow your blood pressure to normalize. The dizziness is related to Orthostatic Hypotension. Those garments are so tight! Before Patty would come to my room at the hotel, I'd go to breakfast and get my juice/toast and yogurt. Eat a bite or two and then remove my garment - as it soaked, I'd rest and just sit and sip my juice. By the time she arrived, I was ready to shower and get ready. I also learned ot not have the shower too hot! I had to take cooler showers or I'd still get dizzy!
Our bodies take a lot!

Each day does get better, but you're right Maureen. I am now 2 years post brachioplasty and my arms still feel a little odd. I still do have some zingers occasionally, but for the most part, I feel normal from that surgery. My second and third surgeries were 7 months ago and I am still swelling a good bit and have a lot of numbness in my LBL and thigh area. When I'm not swelling, I love my results. It is all worth it! I have no regrets!
