DRAINS AND VEST AFTER THE TUMMY TUCK

how long did you have the drains in, and the vest around your waist? i'll have to have them in for 12 days, i have 2 drains in. its supposed to help with the swellening so since i'll have them in so long the swellening will be less the only swelling i have so far is the upper part of my belly a small area.

I had a total of 4 drains. 2 drains were removed at 10 days, 1 at 3 weeks and the final 1 at 6 weeks only b/c I fudged the numbers since I couldn't stand it any longer. I wore the binder for 6 weeks 24/7 and then for a few more weeks at night just b/c it helpd w/ the swelling and actually felt kinda good at that point.

Drains stayed in for me about 9 days and I still have major issues with swelling at 4 months out. I still wear the compression vest but take it off at night. I've been told swelling can last anywhere from a few months to a year.
