Hi guys. Many thanks to all for the encouraging words at my last post.
I was eating worms, big time.

Things are better.
Much better range of motion in my arms.
I can do everything alone now. My daughter is home on vacation so she does things like reaching, stretching and taking care o the dogs.

All incicions are clean and dry. Still very swollen.
Even my upper abdomen.
I have gained 3 inches around my middle...nice.

Wearing a sports bra. My breast pain is minimal. More of a dull achiness.
Kinda like "week before my period" boobs.
Breasts are small, hard and high.
I looked down in bed and got spooked!
"what the hell is that brown thing near my face??"
It was my nipple.
They normally reside under my arms.
This is gonna take some getting used to.

Arms? Different story. My axillas hurt like hell. A burning, searing type of pain that never goes away. Pain med makes no difference in this type of pain so I am only taking the Norco at night to sleep. Otherwise, just Tylenol.
Ditched the ACE and switched to a cut up knee sock.
Nice compression plus I can get it on and off alone for showers.
Lots of swelling but I can see the improvement.

Now, lest I be labled a Gloomy Gus...I am happy.
Happy to have it done. Happy to be on the mend.
I would do it again in a minute.

But I want to drive!!!

When did you guys drive after breasts and arms?

Postop appt tomorrow. I'm gonna ask.
But I want to go to Starbucks...Kohls...Target!!
Seriously, I'm getting crazy up in here!

I was allowed to drive after a week, but waited about 10 days and only went places close to home. Moving arms to  turn a steering wheel was tough at first. And do NOT go through any drive-throughs for a while. Painful to reach.

Glad you are recuperatting well. You will forget the arm pit pain in no time at all. I went out driving around day 10. Totally understand about the Starbucks-skinny vanilla latte! I also got a mens long  sleeve compression t-shirt at Kohls for about $12.00. Great for the arms and doesn't hurt the axilla's.  I was able to finally ditch the sports bra and get into a real bra yesterday!!!  I still keep looking for my back fat.

Welcome to the better side of things!!!  I'm so glad you are getting better and on the mind.  I am 7 weeks post op from the same surgery and ran my first 5K with NO compression yesterday!!  Felt great, although I am still dealing with some swelling...seems regardless of whether i have compression on or not.  Today back in compression just in case it helps.

I believe I drove a week after surgery.
