Today was my pre-op appt. for my surgery next Tuesday.  Met first with the nurse and signed all the necessary paperwork, went over any medical issues, etc.  She took more before pictures (ugh!) and then asked if I wanted to speak with the surgeon.  Definitely yes.

So then he came in and I showed him my concerns (thought it would be a good idea since it's been 6 mths. since the original LBL surgery).   I asked him how the surgery would go and he explained what he was planning on doing, including lipo, to lift up the saddlebag area.  It would appear I will have at least a new 6+ incision on each side.  Surgery is first thing at 7:15 a.m. and I'll be at the hospital 2 hours beforehand.

I will be saying a lot of prayers between now and next Tuesday to hopefully get the results that I need!

Good luck Gracie, I hope the results are exactly what you want. I had LBL & Mini Med. Thigh on 12-8, I have got wrinkly skin under m y butt cheeks to about the same extent as pre surgery. I don't see it improving. I'm getting drains out today and may discuss expected final out come. Are you doing out patient? I'm wondering if anyone involved are giving you a financial break? Best wishes.

Yes, this time it's outpatient.  The first time around I had lots of drains, had to give myself shots of an anti-clot type medicine, etc.  This time, none of that which is good.  Honestly in my case it took about 4 mths to see the final results in my stomach area due to swelling but my saddlebags were apparent (again) at week two as the swelling decreased.  I did ask during my consult about revisions and was told at the time that it would be covered under my original cost.  They did honor that and my out-of-pocket will be for the surgical room at the hospital and the anesthesia.  Thanks for your kind wishes!!
