I am new to this board,  and I just had a TT on sat. the 10th.  I am sitting here bored and I have gained a few pounds.  Is this normal?  What do you do to pass the time (so you don't eat)?  I would be grateful for any advise.
thanks, Kelly

I gained at first and then lost a lot while my body was healing. I ate a ton post-op but I think my metabolism was working in overdrive for the first couple of months. I got down to about 10 pounds below my goal weight. Now at almost 6 months post-op I'm back to my goal weight, which is where I want to be.

I had surgery 7 days ago and weigh two pounds more than before surgery.  I'm guessing the surgeon removed at least 10lbs of skin and fat.  So, yep.  Normal to "gain" - its just swelling and fluid, give it 6-8 weeks.  It will go away.  Besides, who cares about the number anymore, as long as you look good and feel great, what's a few pounds of water?!

I had my body surgery on the 9th.  My weight fluctuates.  Yesterday I was down three, today up two.  I'm down 11 pounds sine surgery.  Snack on fruit and veggies. Go out for a walk. Call friends. Throw out any white flour and sugar products. Treat this as recovery with a food plan based on recovery.  Lots of water, protein etc. I snack on fresh papaya to aid in digestion and healing.  I'm in mexico and my hotel offers it daily for breakfast.

Post on here a lot when you are bored. Get some good books.  Stand in front of the mirror admiring yourself.

You can do This!!

I had six pounds of skin removed and two liters of fat lipoed out of me, but the surgeon put the good fat into tushie for an augmentation.

Its normal to gain a little after TT because of all the fluids you are pumped with. That happened to me. I lost the weight a week or 2 later. Right now I went up 6 lbs from my lowest since the surgery but that's because I haven't been really active the last few days. The key is to stay active, do a lot of walking, limit your sodium intake and drink lots of water and protein it helps with the swelling.
