I'm not gonna pretty this up...this **** hurts.
Hi guys. My little friend JuJu rattled my chain. I figured I had better get in here.
I'm four days out of the extended brachioplasty and extended mastopexy.
Today I am finally feeling human again.
The first 3 days were absolutely horrific.
I won't bore you with all the gory details but I will run it down briefly.
Went in Wednesday morning early.
Got home at 10pm.
Once again, terrible postop nausea they could not get ahold of.
I was given six drugs to combat it...both during the procedure and in recovery room.
But I spent hours crying and wretching into a basin.
I woke up Thursday morning in the most intense pain I have ever had.
I had major arm flab removed plus boobage as well as side boob removed.
Surgeon said he took off 200 grams from the right breast and 400 grams from the left.
I had serious assymetry going on.
Not sure how much came off the arms, forgot to ask.
I have no drains.
All wrapped up in ACE.
I could not move, wipe, eat, drink, nuthin by myself for 2 days.
I cried...alot.
Yesterday the pain lessened. Nausea got better.
I can finally get my hand to my mouth and regions down below.

But I am swollen as hell.
And the pain in my axillas is at times, extreme. Alot of nip/tuck went on around there.
I know this will pass. My years of surgical nursing have taught me this.
But when you're in the mix...it seems like forever.
I have moved to a sports bra. Arms are still wrapped tight.
Incisions are clean and dry.
Boobs are small and high.
Side boobs are completely gone.

Arms are much smaller.
So far, so good.
I will get pics up at my next shower.
Thanks guys!!

Hey MK, sorry to hear you were so sick post op. I suffer from the same thing. The surgery is always secondary to the anesthesia. My PS ordered me an EMEND 40mg tablet. You take it 3 hrs before surgery. I also got a Scop. Patch, and was treated with Zofran. Perfect 7 hr. procedure not even a hint of nausea. He said the EMEND is what Chemo. therapy patients take.

Paitence is a virtue - especiall during recovery. Of course, I don't have any at all. I'm glad that you know this period will pass but I know it is really hard to stay postive and get thru this rough time.
Just keep thinking of how awesome you are going to look in those plunging neckline, sleeveless dresses!
I hope this passes quickly and you are feeling better soon. Hang in there!

So happy to hear from you!!!!
I could not take it any longer, had to send you that message.
I expect your arms will turn out way better than mine being that I had no pain (not enough taken off) I can't wait to see pics. Take it easy. I have seromas on both arms that my surgeon is not draining. He want to see if the body will absorb them first. Of and I bought a SHRUG from MAIDFORM and it works way better than the ACE bandages, those things kept sliding down and unwrapping.
Again... TAKE IT EASY!!

boy did I have a hard time with my arms too. I had allot of upper body reconstruction done in June and on Dec 1st. I had multiple procedures done including 12-14" removed off of each side, yet the arms were hands down (no pun intended) the absolute hardest. :( Hang in there... you'll get through this!

(Lost slowly and painfully from 355 to 275 from 2007-2009, then started gaining again before scheduling surgery! Best thing I ever did! :D)

Oh my goodness. You poor thing. That nausea stuff is for the birds. Makes you wish you could ust be knocked out for a quick 3 days after surgery and wake up when the worst is past. So glad it is improving quickly for you. Small, high boobs sounds like heaven!! I'm excited for you and am looking forward to your pics.
Praying for continued progress for you!
Get good rest!

I'm so so so sorry to read this! It sounds like you are on the upswing but how awful that you went through this! I had my arms done and breat lift and reduction on the 9th. One of my arm drains came out yesterday and the other is still in. Try hydrating as much as possible . I am eating lots of watermelon and papaya along with water to help flush everything out.
I bet your arms and breasts are gorgeous. My surgeon has me in a bra with compression 24/7 for six weeks. I think it's from design Veronique. I love it!!
Sending prayers that you make leaps in your recovery.
