My hands are so fat!

They are swelled up like water balloons!  Stupid post-op swelling.

My hands are one of the only things I can see, so this is depressing.

Here's hoping the shower goes okay tonight... Maybe the swelling will go down once I get the bandages off the arms.

Poor thing. I know these early days are tough, but they will soon be a distant memory--promise. Try to go easy on yourself.  Good to do what you did by posting here when you are feeling low.

Hang in there!!

Hugs!

I had hand swelling at first as well. My surgeon rewrapped my arms so the ace bandages when WAY down just past my wrist. Tighter at the hand than the top. Worked great.

The same thing is happening to me! My left hand got so swollen in the hospital that I couldn't make a fist. It is better now, but still tight. I think my arm bandages were on too tight and once they were re-wrapped, the hand swelling improved.

I am jealous of your shower. Can't do that until after my post-op appointment tomorrow. My dear boyfriend did wash my hair in the kitchen sink yesterday, though. That felt SO good.

Good luck!

Bethany

After my brachioplasty, I also had swollen hands but the ace bandaged down to the fingertips helped a lot. I hope you're doing better now!!
