I am so excited!  I just had to share.  I am so glad I had WLS.  I've been at goal since last Spring.  I finally saved enough for plastics.  I am worried about the surgery and was wondering if anyone has advise.

1.)  Will I lose hair again?  I am just to the point of wearing my hair down again.  My WLS was 4/2010.

2.) My blood pressure has been low since I've lost weight like 90/55- 60ish.  Is this going to be ok for the long 5.5 hour surgery?

I didn't lose hair with my TT in August.

Your BP will be monitored by Anesthesia in the OR. Don't worry about it.

Mine is low (90/50) since I lost weight.
I set alarms off all over the place in the Reovery Room.
But it is my new Normal.

No problems for me at all.

I'm the same way with the BP. Anesthesia will monitor you. I think maybe we don't lose hair with plastics because we are SOOOOO much better about making sure we get our protein in. I'm trying to eat about 100 grams per day post op.You will love the surgery. A couple days of disomfort and a lifetime of loving your body!

Losing hair - for me it was a matter of how long I was under.  My RNY and TT were each under 3 hours and I lost very little hair.  When I had combination plastic surgeries and was under for up to 6 - 7 hours is when I lost the most hair.  Good luck to you.
