Good Morning!

I was wondering if anyone has heard of excess fat/skin  contributing to stress incontinence? I read an article which stated fat in the belly area puts pressure on the bladder, and obesity is a cause of stress incontinence. Not sure if this can be a medical need for a tummy tuck, with having the extra weight "hanging" around in that area. Any info will be helpful!
Thanks

I don't think that it is a reason for a TT, but I do know that it is is true.  I had stress incontinence prior to weight loss surgery and it is cured at this point with weight loss.

Different insurance companies have different criteria for paying for it.  My insurance (TriCare Prime Remote) would only pay for a pannectomy after my Primary and my Dermatologist stated in writing that I needed it.  I had to take those letters to an approved Plastic ("General" who does Plastic) Surgeon.  What my insurance company was looking for, was that the skin rubbing against itself causes a rash and excess sweating that smells and compounds the rash, wih open wounds.  Find a plastic surgeon that accepts your insurance and they will help you with the process and paper work.  I was fortunate at the time, that my Bariatric doctor who did my band placement, had left the business and the man who was doing my fills also worked downstairs as a plastic surgeon.
