12 days away from TT

 Well family I'm 29months post op 158lbs down and just 12days away from my Tummy Tuck.  I'm very excited but yet very scared I hope you guys understand what I'm talking about. I'm still not at my goal weight yet just 20bs shy of it though. I wonder if the TT will help me to lose a few pounds? What should I be looking forward to? I would appreciate any help that you could be to me in this matter. Please keep me in prayer that God guide this surgeons hands and I have a fast uneventful and speedy recovery Thanks in advance

I am having the same fears/concerns/hopes. I am 21 days away from mine! yeah us!! Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers!

I asked that question to my Doctor and he said the desired outcome of the procedure (i had a LBL) is not to loose weight and skin doesn't weigh that much. I asked him out of curiosity sake if he could weigh it for me. He removed 5 pounds of skin.

 I didn't have a TT, but a panniculectomy last week.  My surgeon took off 12 lbs of skin and then tightened the stomach skin that that I had.  I look pretty darn good.  My size 16 pants are WAY too big and they were comfortable (just sligtly big) before surgery and a size 12 jean ALMOST buttons .  After surgery I haven't really wanted to eat normally, so I have continued to lose weight from that on top of the 12.4 lbs she took off.  Every morning when I get on the scale it is down another 1.5 lbs.  I'm still a bit swollen, but the binder helps with that.  I didn't have any pain at all.  I haven't used any pain killers and feel great.  I do walk a little slower than normal and I get tired faster than normal.  But for somone who was sliced open past the hip on both sides last Wednesday... I couldn't feel better!  

I'm sure you will do great!  Just think about how flat your tummy will be!  --cause it really will be just like you dreamed!  :)

WE all will be a force to be reckoned with when it gets warm again. We will truly be unleashing our SEXY. I truly believe that my stomach will look better then any thing I could have ever imagined.
