Interesting theory about the compression. I've never heard that theory before. I'd always heard it was important to have the compression to help the skin re-attach to the underlying fascia, but I guess I can see his point.

Glad you are coming along!

If you dont mind my asking, did insurance cover your plastics?  If so what insurance do you have and what was the criteria for them to pay?

Insurance denied me. So I did it on my own. I utilized Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) in East Meadow. They are a teaching hospital. The Attending Physicians are from Long Island Plastic Surgical Group. I felt very comfortable with process as there were alot of eyes on my case. I paid $6,100 whi*****luded Doctors Fees, OR time, Anesthesia, Over night stay (which was optional extra $500) and 3 Post op follow up visits. The Plastic Clinic is part of the Burn unit that treats Nassau county fire fighters. So they are up to date on all the latest techniques and research.

Yes, It included the Circumferential Lower Body lift as well as the one night stay in the hospital. I reccommend the one night stay for pain management.

That's not bad!  I am hoping to have insurance cover panni (at least) and then pay the difference for a full TT or LBL.  Who was your surgeon?
