XP: Time to decide about breasts!!

Erica, you think like me!  I'm delighted to read how happy you are with your decision.  I'm thinking about the replacements, mammograms etc as well.

The thought of perky with no implants just delights me!  I chose the Sleeve for the same reasons as well.  :)

I hear you. There are pics on my profile from last month if you want to take a look. I think they look pretty natural (except for the scars! Lol).

My before breasts look like yours except I don't know what size you are.  I'm a 34DD now and I can't get a decent bra at VS.  I was a 34 DDD a few months ago and they have nothing.  The woman working there told me to go to Penney's to find a Platex to hold the girls up.  I just headed over to Nordstrom for another fitting.

Your after pics are gorgeous!  If I thought mine would stay up like that, I'd not give implants a second thought.  If I get an older lover (I'm 61), I don't want to give him a heart attack with breasts that are too vava voom!  :)   I'd love to know how many people still have perky breasts at 3-5-10 years out from BL.

Maybe a bit of reduction to a 34C would give me a better chance of eternal perk!  :)

Erica, can you wear underwire or will you always be without it?  I searched for bras this weekend without underwire and in a 34DD or D there just weren't any!

I was a 34C before surgery, and a 34C after as well.  My surgeon did a bit of "auto-augment" with skin/flesh around my armpit area etc.  He only removed 20g from each side (JUST skin).  I don't have any trouble finding a bra at VS.

My PS told me no underwire for 4-6 weeks - then go for it.  I wear one all the time - no discomfort or problems.  Once my under incision was healed I was good to go.  But I don't NEED to wear an underwire...sometimes I just wear a 'bandeaux" type thing I got (2 for $10 at Kohls) to stop the "nips" from poking out to "loud".  But they stay up by themselves lol.

My surgeon had me use Tagederm (I think that's what you call that plastic sheet bandage stuff) for a month after surgery on the underside of my breasts to prevent sag.

One other lady in our group had a BL with this same guy - she started even smaller than me (32B).  Her breasts are still perky at 2 years out - but she doesn't like the "sunk" top.  Kinda makes them ski-jump I guess.  But hers are quite a bit smaller than mine.  I'd still be good with that over the "globe" look of implants.  Just a personal preference.  One surgeon showed me a bunch of his before and after pics - and I thought all the befores looked better! lol

I thought it was forever no underwires.  I wondered how VS stayed in business if that was the case.  :)

I'll have to look up Tagederm and see what it does.

As always, thanks for the additional info.  I don't know why, but this is a really big decision for me!

Lee- so excited for you! It is almost time.

Right behind you with breast lift and arms next week.
My choice is to forgo the implant. Just not my thing.

Surgeon says I have enough fat left to make a respectable breast but that I will not have the fullness on top.
But, you know what? I can get a bra that does that!

I have been heavy breasted forever. I want small and perky.
I love Erica's! (wait...that didn't sound right. )
But you know what I mean.
That is the 'after' that I am hoping for.

Hahaha... I love Erica's too!  But my dilemna is figuring out what I'm going to love most and what my future man is going to love too!

Good luck on your surgery.  We can commiserate together on how it's going!   I've been heavy breasted as well but would love to be smaller and perkier, so that's going to be the decider for me and what Dr. S thinks of course.

HI Lee!!

Well... I was a 34DD (all skin) before surgery and Dr said just a lift I would end up being a B.  So I had them done.  I'm a 34/36 D or DD (depends on the bra now).  Love'em! The old bras still fit.

Yes, underwires after awhile, but not initially.   VS did have 1 bra that didn't have underwire.  I wore sports bra for quite awhile, and still do at night - and probably always will.  Just more comfy.

What my Dr had me do was go online and print out a bunch of pics of breasts I DID like and ones I DIDN'T like.  We discussed each picture as to why I did or didn't.  He knew what my expectations were and I got EXACTLY what I wanted!!   He said he didn't do "sizes" - but they turned out great.

I'd say - GO FOR IT!  You'll be glad you did - get it all done in 1 shot.  The breasts really are the easiest to recover from (in my opinion).

I'm excited for you!  Wish I was going too!

Hi Jody!!!!  I remember when you had your breasts done.  Seems like forever ago now. This feels such a huge decision to me!  I really want natural looking breasts.  I hope dr. S has pictures I can look at and show him what I want.  I wish you were going too!!
