Out of the Hospital

I am out of the hospital finally... As Laura updated everyone, I was readmitted to the hospital a couple days post op due to dehydration, the liquid demerol made me barf everything up.... So I was pumped full of fluids stayed overnight given a bill of $1,200 and released.   Barely two days later, I was back in the ER, and this time I was severely dehydration... Basically what happened was the dehydration caused my bowels to lock up and they had to be surgically unlocked. By a miracle of faith, one of the gastric surgeons was on call @ the ER, so while he went in open, he consulted with the plastic surgeon on call and together they were in the operating room to do the bowel surgery and reconstructed my tummy tuck. So I was not gutted like a fish but they reopened the tummy tuck incisions. Everyday the plastic surgeon visited me, and took care of my drains and the invisible stitches and all that stuff. So the whole time I had the best of care, with the exception of the first ER visit.   10 days later, I am finally home.. Praise GOD. .  . Initially I was supposed to be released on Monday, so I made it out 2 days early. I had to stay until I finally pooed post bowel surgery. I will spare you the details on the symptons of severe dehydration.... but it is not pleasant.   I finally noticed the flatness of my tummy today. I am still scared to look at my boobs, I don't need any shocks, and they are binded up still until Tuesday.  I am super weakened and on the road to recovery. I am on clear liquids until at least Thursday, so I have no clue how much I really weigh... I am sure I am underweight, as I am still pumped full of fluids to rehydrate me.

OMG - you have been through hell!  I do hope you have someone at home who is helping you.

Thankfun the Bariatric surgeon was there too, to help out.

You will be SO pleasantly surprised at your new "girls".  I love mine.  They will probably still be sitting a little high, but will fall naturally in a while.

I still wear a sports bra to bed - I find its much more comfortable than letting them just 'fall".  I also think (in my mind) that if I do wear a sports bra, the muscle won't get stretched out (mines under the muscle) as quickly.  Not sure if thats true, but since i do find it more comfy to wear to bed, its not hurting anything!

Keep yourself hydrated, and like I said before I do hope you have someone helping you.

Prayers for you for no more issues or complications!

So glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery.  I am sure that you will enjoy the results of your plastics once all of this commotion is in the past.  Rest and get those fluids in.
