Hello all had my tummy tuck 4 weeks ago. I am still sore my muscles hurt. But Sunday I noticed a feeling of burning around my belly button. And my side muscle kills it hurts to sit up lay down take deep breaths. The burning comes and goes feels like I just had a tuck done all over again..

Now I have been coughing for a week now my surgeon knows about this saw him last week because the muscle on my side hurt. He than said I pulled a muscle but now it is not getting better it hurts to move or even touch it and my belly button hurts. Just wondering if any one thinks it just might be a pulled muscle and that I must have pulled my belly button to. I hate to call my surgeon tomorrow for nothing. What would you do????

My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

I don't know what you are experiencing, but wanted to say there is absolutely never a time that if you have a concern about your health that you should hesitate to call your surgeon. So, I'd definitely call in the morning and run it past them. I'm a little concerned about your description about the cough and the difficulty breathing--might you possibly have pneumonia?

Definitely give a call. I hope you are feeling better soon!

No I do not have pneumonia. saw my PCP today he said I was fine just a cold it hurts when I cough and hurts when I breath deep. My muscles hurt me. I though by 4 weeks I would be better but it seems to be hurting more now. I will be calling my surgeon tomorrow. I was just wondering if it was normal for this feeling I get of my muscles burning and my muscles hurting.
My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

I am 3 weeks out and can finally sneeze without pain and cough with only a small amount of quick pain.  My side where he lipoed are still sore but my ab muscles feel pretty good.  I can take deep breaths and stretch my body out slowly.  I notice when I sit for a while I am pretty stiff when I first get up.

It would be safe to say that if I had been coughing for a week, I would be sore like you are describing; however, it's always safe to have everything checked out to make sure!

Good luck and keep us all updated! Hopefully it really is just normal soreness and nothing more serious!
