Hi everyone! I was wondering what kinds of clothes I should plan on having to wear after my BL/ extended brachioplasty. What should I wear a day out/ a few days out/ a week out/ a few weeks out etc? When can I expect to be able to put on a shirt that has to pull on over my head? My surgeon has me wearing a sleeveless button up shirt home from the office the day of surgery. When can I wear sleeves? I am going for a very brief time to a diner with friends a few days after my surgery (If I am up to it). Can I expect to be able to wear normal clothes by then? Thanks for the input!!
I had a BL/BA extendedn brachioplasty and a bra line lift. Immediately after I spent most of my time in zip up hoodies when I went out, at home button up pj tops. It was about 2 weeks till I was able to put something on over my head. The recovery was much easier than I anticipated. The first 4 days or so weren't much fun, after that not too bad. I'm pretty much back too normal. Still on lifting restrictions and still not allowed to exercise till about the middle of Dec. Overall I felt pretty good by a week after the surgery. Not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. If the dinner is at least 4 days after your surgery and they are good friends, I think you should be able to attend for a while! Best of luck.

19 or 20 days post op... I never know what day it is anymore.
Anyway, I have spent all this time in pj pants or boxer shorts and mens long tanks that I am wearing between my sikin and the itchy binder.
I have not worn any button up shirts but have always had my husband stretch the tanks before slipping them over my head.. And honestly I don't change everyday.
I also have 2 zip up hoodies that are a 3 x that I can put on myself.
With help you can probably get anything.
Good luck!

Hi Lee,
They are woman's and they come in several pretty colors. They are VERY soft and have a satin ribon as the draw string. I had a few pairs from last year that were a size large and they still fit but pretty big...but it doesn't matter if they are big in PJ's..they are just for around the house. So this time I got mediums and I wear a size 8 pant. If you are a 10 and you don't want anything tight after surgery..I would go for the large...there is not alot of extra room in the mediums. I just think they are the perfect lounging pants for the few weeks we are hangin at home (or in your hotel room) healing. Do you have a costco card and one near you? (if not , I could get them for you and mail them) Let me know. I think there are about 6 different colors..I got 4...but for less than 30 dollars. They are normally 9.99 but 6.99 with a coupon this weekend. (and they give you the coupons for free at the store)
