Nice surprise at first post-op visit

So I had my LBL and BL/BA last Thursday. I'll post all the details when I have a little more energy later - I sure appreciated everyone who did that when I was pre-op. But I did want to share a little suprise the doctor had for me at my 24 hour post-op visit.

I'd been trying to guess all that first night where my breast scars were at. When I was being marked she asked me to let her decide on vertical or anchor after she put the temp sizers in to see how things looked. I'd bumped up the implant size to 400cc high profile silicone at the last minute so she'd ordered to different surgical sizers just to make sure she could try out both before making a final decision. I don't have any side boobage or loose back fat but I really cared about high boobs and good cleavage and shape so I told her I'd trust her final decision.

When I woke up the nurse went on and on about how beautiful my body turned out and how they'd all stood back to admire the doctor's work before they cinched me in the garments. Kept saying "hour glass figure" and what a great "after" I'm going to be. I thought I was hallucinating. The doctor told me I'd picked the perfect size implant, they fit exactly right and she'd show me when  came in the next day to change the bandages.

But at that first appointment they unwrapped the breasts and when I asked where the scars ended up she said that was the surprise. No scars! When she got the sizers in they fit perfectly and there was no extra skin to remove. So she ended up doing something she doesn't do too often and did the periareolar lift. Cut above, inserted the final implant, pulled the nipples up to the height I wanted and then did the drawstring close. It's amazing! Nice little round nipples instead of the huge ugly ovals I had and the new boobs are a nice full C or D with no scars whatsoever. What's amazing is that my nipples even have feeling.

They took off the steristrips yesterday at post op #2 and you can see how the circles will heal up so you can hardly see the incisions. Actually look better than what I had with my natural areola. I was so surprised. I had no idea periareolar would even be possible with little boobs like mine. And you can't believe how excited my husband is, he kept asking - really? no scar? they'll just look natural? Wow! Love that doctor!

When I'm feeling up to it I'll write up more on my experience. So happy I chose to stay home and work with Dr. Peters. I wanted to look normal but looking pretty naked was way beyond my wildest dreams. Now I'm excited to finish things out next year with my thighs, arms and a small round booty.

I felt so selfish doing all this but can already see how it's going to change my life. 22 years of being obese and now a body I can be proud of - even in the shower. Wow! It's amazing. And all thanks to Dr. Aceves and Dr. Peters.

That's awesome! So glad you are pleased. I knew I wanted new boobs, but didn't realize just how badly until after getting them. I keep telling my husband ". I have boobs". He of course can see that, but I'm so excited to have them. Rest up and continue to be well.

How thrilling!! Wow, I'm so stoked for you!! DId you get your implants placed over or under the muscle? My PS wants me to switch to high profile when he does my revision and I'll be curious to see if yours have a lot of upper pole fullness (something I've read about with HP's). But it sounds like they're gorgeous!! And NO SCARS!!! What a treat!

I can't wait to hear all about it!!
