OT: Holiday stuff--whatcha got going on??
I adopted one of my dogs on black friday, that has brought plenty of anguish and destruction for my home but well worth it. No shopping for me, do not want to get trampled in stampede. I used to be able to hold my own but not now.
Food wise, I'm going to plug myself like a leaky watermelon on a hot day!
I got to work this weekend. WOOPDEE FREAKIN DOODOO!!
Peace out,
Bubbs

In Canada our thanksgiving was almost 2 months ago! I AM feeling badly that you all have your shopping all done - and I've barely started!!
I am heading to Detroit with my family for black Friday. I've never been - although I'm a big deal shopper. I'm not one for waiting in mega lines though - so we will see what happens. I want to buy myself a set of fiesta wear dishes from Kohls - that's my big purchase. Hubby is looking for a big screen. I'd bet he has more lines!!

I'm with you--crowds not so much, deals oh heck yeah! I about choked when I read folks are done shopping. Granted, I could be done if I wanted my kids to disown me and give up completely on Santa, so I think I better grab a few more things!
Good luck with your first time out. It can be a bit of a circus!

Well, my Mom and I will be going to a dog agility trial on for the weekend, so we always leave on Thursday around 11 or 12 and I cook Thanksgiving dinner in the camper once things are all set up.... I should tell you we don't have a stove in the camper (we had it removed b/c we don't use and wanted more cabinet room). I do a crockpot turkey breast with carrots, celery, and a few little potatoes. Desert is usually something suger free, but a treat! I may do pumpkim mouse this year.
Then a friend comes to the show site and picks me up for midnight shopping and drops me back off my 8am so I can show my dog all day! THEN BED!!!!!!

I trained my dog in agility, but never competed. I need to train my little one, she is a rocket. Not the sharpest tool in the shed though! What kind of dog do you have? Sounds like you sure know how to improvise with the cooking!
Good luck with the agility and the show! That's exciting!
Happy Thanksgiving!
