Inner thigh lift folks--would you do it again?

I hate my inner thighs. I actually hate my outer thighs, but that is another story. Anyway, those of you that have had the inner thighs done, are you happy? Do you hate the scar or is it a good trade off? How bad was the recovery? I've heard that is one of the worst recoveries and after my LBL recovery I can't imagine anything being worse.

Thanks for your thoughts and input!

Denise

I would do it again without hesitation.  I'm 60 so the scars don't really bother me.  Mine come about 3/4 of the way to my knee.  Surgery was a year ago and the scars are still fading.  What a difference it makes not having all that extra skin which you could see through my slacks and not having to worry about any rubbing if I wear a dress.  The first couple of days getting in and out of bed was a little rough and I bought a riser for the toilet so that wasn't too bad.  My advise is to get your core as strong as you can which will make getting up and down alot easier - I do pilates and it made all the difference in my recovery with my TT and thighs.  I read on here about people who can't stand up straight for days after a TT I had no problem at all and I really believe it's from doing Pilates on a daily basis.

I"m so glad to read that you think that pilates helped with your recovery.  I've been taking 2-3 classes a week since February and do a lot at home as well.  I know that my core is so much stronger than it was 9 months ago.  I'm having my thighs and arms done at the same time so I really need that strength.

I think so. I'm seven weeks out and my legs still swell up something really badly. The scars go down to my knees, but they don't bother me. Also, I'm 51, married 26 years so I'm not trying for perfection. They are on the inside and already starting to fade. I did them because I couldn't stand the juggling of them when I took dance class. While the skin is tight, the shape still bothers me and I'm not sure if it's the way they are or that they are swollen. The first three weeks were really hard, but it was the second surgery in a week, the first being 5 hours long and the second 6 hours and included thighs and lower back/butt. So part of it was from all the work that was done and how long I was under. I think I'm liking them, especially as I can get back to walking more and my elliptical. I'm still off hills and lower body strength training until January. Ask me in six months.

Absolutely!  In fact, my thighs are in need of 3 stages to get them right!  I lost so much and so much of my weight was in my thighs that they are a mess!  The scar runs from my groin to past my knee!  I don't mind.  They are so much better than before!  I am still dealing with a lot of swelling but even with the swelling I'd rather do it again than be with what I had before!

As far as pain, it was bad, but I had extensive lipo to shape, so I think that was the worst of it!  My facelift was much worse than my thighs!

Laura!
Sounds great!  I'm so happy for you!  My man is a Babe and he can't see a foot in front of his face without his contacts!  LOL!  So he really doesn't notice my flaws!  (poor dude!)  He's so cute!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving!  I'm working and then I'll be with my Guy on Friday!

Hugs!

Hey Dee!  Where ya been?

I would do it again in a heartbeat!  I did the thighs w/my LBL and the whole thing was painful to go thru but very doable.  Now that all is healed, I am very proud of all the results.  I even have a space between my upper thighs llike we are suppose to have!  The scar isn't that noticeable, it's fading pretty good and I really have to sit w/my legs open for it to be visible, so no one really notices.
