TT scar really high, need advice, please!
I had discussed with my surgeon putting my scar low to fit in bathing suits, etc. She said if I wanted I could wear one so she could make sure it was low enough but I thought it was redundant and figured the standard is putting the scar low.
Well my scar is really high on the sides, it isnt hidden in my underwear or any bathing suit bottoms by about 2-3 inches on the hips.
Im starting to get really upset, what the hell am i supposed to do? i can ask her to revise it i think but i still have to pay anesthesia and who the f*ck wants more surgery, that would be my 4th this year! another recovery? WTF
im freaking out. please give me some advice. what would you do?
i have been searching the web for suits it will be hidden in and unless i buy a gigantic womens brief, forget it. im really upset, im happy the skin is gone but i thought i would be able to hide this freaking thing.

I did a lot of research on scar placement (and belly buttons) before I had surgery. I have noticed here that some surgeons do put them really high. I wonder why they do that. Maybe they feel they can give better results as far as getting rid of the skin. Does anyone have any insight???
I'm sorry you are having a hard time dealing with this. Try to relax and focus on your healing.

Again, I think its the narcotics getting out of my system making me an emotional mess.
This is the conclusion I have come to for the day : What's done is done. Wednesday I will see IF, WHEN, and HOW things can be fixed or improved. Depending on the answer to that..
I know that : Scars fade over time, bathing suits can cover some of it, I am lucky to have had the 4lbs of skin removed period.
And if anyone comes on here asking for a TT- we tell them to wear their goshdarned bottoms into the OR!!!
Ill update you guys early Wednesday afternoon.
thanks again,
kristen

A friend of mine did wear her low rise jeans to pre-op so that the surgeon would mark her incisions lower. Worked for her and her incision is super low.
