My tummy tuck was 9 days ago on thursday.

Monday I had my my bandages removed..I am in the medical field and I was still a bit taken aback at how my stomach looked.

There was a huge chasm in the middle of my stomach!! I couldnt picture how this thing would look somewhat normal ever, it was jagged and just didnt seem to fit..

But I noticed this morning it is much more flat and looks alot more like a normal stomach. Did anyone else have this quick change in appearance from freakish to normal??

Now I see how in a few months it may be somewhat presentable. Thank the lord!!

I had the exat same thing. It was like there was a sinkhole in my stomach. There was so much swelling around my bellybutton, but the actual bellybutton was tethered tightly to the insides, so it just pulled all around it and looked horrible. I'm 15 days PO now and it has gotten much better. But I still am wondering how my bellybutton will ever look like a normal bellybutton because it's not really very "inside", it's just more of a dip in my stomach. Hopefully once all the swelling goes down it'll improve!

I have a TT on the same day. I noticed the same thing when I took my binder off. Today it looks so much better. I can see normal around the corner. How is your swelling?

i dont think the swelling is too bad but im sure another 4-5 weeks will make a huge difference to notice alot less swelling. at least thats what they say.

The swelling is in my hips and thighs and it really freaks me out. I am staying far away from the scale (lol).
