please answer another swelling question
I can't remember, how long does it take for the majority of the fluid weight to leave? I know we have swelling for a few months but when does the major stuff leave. In other words, when should I venture to weigh again. Today was day 4 and up 10 lbs. I can handle 3 to 5 lbs swelling but just wondering when that will be. Thanks for having patience with yet another swelling question.

No experience here because I'm pre-op. What I'm learning from you is to stay off the dang scale. I hope you're down significantly the next time you venture onto it. I think I read to stay off the scale for at least 2 weeks. I've personally not done that in my adult life unless I didn't have a scale. :)

Be sure & wear your compression garment also. Sometimes w/o it (my surgeon didn't recommend it after 3 weeks) I would still swell & put it back on & it'd go back down.
