Feeling "fat" again, dang it
I hear you. Now that my attention is off my hang-over paunch...I REALLy notice my extra bootie and saggy thighs. Then I feel guilty - like I should just be HAPPY dammit, with the gift I have been given.
Sigh.
Then my skinny friend says something about how she's jealous of my body, and I realize that we ALL have things about us we don't like. I remember reading a similar comment by Sandra Bullock in a magazine once..about how she had body parts she never allowed people to film.
I think it just means we are normal.

I think feeling 'fat' at times is just a casualty if being a women...nothing to do with obesity, skin, etc.
I also think if you have been in a constant state of weight crisis, you will feel like this until your brain has time to settle and recognize it's new girth.
I see you had surgery in '08, and started plastics in '10. I'd imagine, you lost all of your weight in a 1-2 yr period and then immediately jumped on the table for the skin removal. Your brain hasn't had time to get settled and used to any one body type.
I lost 100 pds, maintained for 5-6, and just recently got my surgery. In the 5-6 yrs, my brain really had time to catch up and reconfigure. Now I look at myself and get a realistic view. I don't see a 268 pd person staring back at me.
So, all that to say, let your body settle! Give yourself time to just "be".

Thanks, everyone. Your words have helped and I am glad I am not "alone". sometimes i fell like I am going CRAZY, but most of the time I feel great. I just needed to vent.
I do need to remember how far I have come and not focus on my flaws.
Today is a much better day!!

UGH as much as I hate that you are feeling this way...can I just say ME TOO!!!!!! How did I go from having my TT and feeling so thin, even all swollen to totally trying to loose another ten pounds myself. And totally agree...now all I do is stare at my thighs which need some lipo. Again I just paid up to my $#% for my last plastics and don't see my thighs being done anywhere in the near future.
I know we shouldn't be so hard on ourselves, but I'm in the boat right with ya. I can't help but see the other areas I want done, and have even lost a lot of my confidence in my new belly.
For the record you LOOK AMAZING!!!! And I hope we can readjust our attitudes and remember where we came from. If someone was to ask us if where we are now would be "good enough" BEFORE we had our weight loss surgery I think we'd think their nuts! I think we could never have imagined how far we'd go. So I'm stopping for a moment to give us one BIG PAT ON THE BACK for our success!!!
Best of luck beautiful Laura!
