Mons swelling 7 weeks post LBL.

Hi all! So I am not having any significant swelling in my tummy or legs when I'm not wearing my compression garment, but I am noticing there are times that I have significant swelling in my mons. I'm talking cram a block of ice down my pants to help the discomfort kind of swelling or the "I could model for mens' underwear and have a pretty nice package" kind of swelling. Thankfully it isn't all the time, but it is enough that it troubles me semi-regularly. It is tough to get good compression in the area without crushing my stomach with ultra tight girdle type panties.

Anyone? I hope to hear this swelling will not be with me eternally!

Thanks,

Denise

Your post made me remember five years ago.  i had TT and BL 11/6/2006---five years ago tomorrow.  Long story short--all went well.  My mons area was swollen and it finally settled down, but I remember being discussed with it for a while.  Well, four weeks ago I had bladder/pelvic repair.  The surgeon went in my TT scar.  My mons is swollen again.  I guess it will settle down in time.  .

The surgeon said he was going to improve on my TT scar.  That remains to be seen.  I had a leaking bladder and I still have one.  He tells me it is going to take time for the swollen of the bladder and that area to go away and maybe i will stop leaking.

Good luck with your surgery.  The swelling of the mons will not be forever.

Well if you remember it from 5 years ago, then it must have really made an impact on you. I'm glad that it resolved, but sorry you are again dealing with it.

It definitely is not all the time. Today it isn't bothering me at all, but I havent worn my compression garment, so I'll have to pay attention to see if it is just when I wear my compression garment or not.

Thanks for chiming in!! Hope you are all better soon!

Denise
