4 Week Check Up - a little late but GREAT!!
Last Friday, I went for my 4 Week Check Up and it was GREAT! The scar is so thin, think pencil thin! When everything is said and done, it should not be all that noticible. Yay!!!
I am still wearing the binder, for about another 2 weeks. I have tried some shape wear items, but swell up a lot by the end of the day. So I am staying with the tried and true binder.
I have been back to work, retail, for the past week. I am doing better than I thought. I do feel exhausted by the end of the day, and a little swollen, but when I get home - hubby takes over and cooks dinner and I rest on the couch.
I completely understand the "disappointment" of not seeing the sizing go down just because of the surgery. Especially when you see the difference in the shape of the body. I was in a size 10/12 before surgery. After surgery, with the binder and swelling, I am using the size 10/12 pants and they can be tight.
I received a promotion while I was out on LOA. I went clothes shopping the other day and the 10's with binder was "loose"!?!?!?! I went and tried on an 8! Yes, they fit!!!!!! I start my new position on Monday at a new store. Most people will not know me or my story. Kinda feel like the 8th grader moving up to High School. :)
I am so thankful that my surgery has been very uneventful, other than the positives. I really feel for those that have had problems. I pray and hope that the rest of your healing goes completely positive and that you see and feel wonderful right away!

My Dr told me yesterday (10 day checkup from tt) to start wearing the spanx and get rid of the binder. I tried again today to wear the spanx and I was completely miserable. They feel too tight even though they appear to fit fine. I absolutely HATE them and could not wait to get home and rip them off and put my binder back on. It's great to know I'm not the only member of the hate spanx group. I may take back all the ones I bought and just use the binder.
Anyway, congrats on losing a size; can't wait til I get there; still wearing the same clothing just tighter due to the binder :)

Spanx hater here too. Bought a new one thinking it was the sizing--nope. That thing sucks. My binder is like my security blanket now. WHen I'm wearing my spanx, it takes me like 47 minutes to get them off and on to go to the bathroom. Spanx are going back--I'll spend that $$$ on new pants or something!!
