Wow you poor thing, that's a lot to digest in a few paragraphs. Glad your still here good thing you live close to a fire station and money well spent on a nurse, you may have to give her a christmas bonus. (NO FRUITCAKE)

Denise and I never really quite got our support group off the ground for Drainers but maybe we'll have to start one for people that almost croaked after plastic surgery.  Let's see if we can come up with something snazzy. (Did I just use snazzy in a sentence?)

Unfortunately I have to go get a nap before work as this internet thing costs money. Catch up with you tomorrow.

Glad you still with us,
Bubba

I have had these attacks my whole life with the first at the age of ten.  Never knew what they were called.  Mine are triggered by stomach cramps and diarrhea.  I never stopped breathing so mine are mild.  Sometimes I can't lift my head off the pillow without fainting.  I hope you feel better real soon.

Wow Babygirl, you're quite the show stopper!  I'm so sorry you had to go through that and I hope that your mama isn't going to blame you for all the grey hair she probably sprouted in those 9 minutes.  I would have if I were her.  What a terrifying thing for her to witness.  Can you tell I'm a mama too?  :)

How cool that you trusted everyone's better judgement and you didn't think money first when hiring the nurse.  She worked hard for her money last night!

Take good care and listen to all the great advise you've been given.  Don't let this stop you from having a fest with all those Queen Latifa movies.

Let us know how you're doing please.

My goodness, how scary! I'm glad you're all right. That was so smart of you to hire a nurse to get you through the first day.

Oh my goodness lizzy.. I am glad you are doing better this morning.. I use a little caffeine elevate my blood pressure.. maybe you can add some tea or coffee to your food plan.. or I also try some chicken broth or something like that. Propel seemed to help me too.

Thank you all so much for caring. I'm totally off all of the pain meds, and my blood pressure is slowly getting better. Of course, I'm also in much more pain now, but listening to soothing music and meditation exercises have helped me cope. I'm trying not to think "why did I do this!" because I know why I did it, and once all of the worst is over, I'll be very happy. But right now, I'm stuck in a recliner, peeing into a hospital bag, reliant on my parents for everyhing, can't eat much because the abdominal swelling is pushing on my little stomach. I'm really only able to eat crackers and toast right now, everything else makes me nauseated. I have to figure out how to get some good protein in though because I won't heal well without it. I'm gonna have my mom make up a small protein smoothie so I can see how that is tolerated. Doing lots of leg and foot exercises while in my chair to help keep the blood moving.

There is another nurse coming tonight, and one for the daytime after that. I was a little skeptical about spending all that money on nurses but as I've already demonstrated, it has been completely worth it.

I don't see my PS until friday. I'm still kind of bewildered as to why he only gave me one drain. It fills up pretty quickly but maybe that's becuase there's only one of them, not 3 or 4.

Even without the pain meds I'm still sleepy all the time. Guess my body needs the extra healing. I lost most of yesterday, I woke up today thinking it was saturday.

back to sleep now. You guys are wonderful.

Hang in there Hotshot.  You're going to up and around before you know it.  How smart your body is to demand all this good sleep.  I hope you can tolerate the protein smoothie.  I'm so happy that your parents are taking such good care of you!

so glad to hear that you are doing better!  You know my doc doesn't use any drains with a TT so only one seems very reasonable to me.
I also know that you really want and need to cut back on your pain meds but being in too much pain is not good either.  Take a smaller dose if you need something..don't be too brave.  Maybe that was too much for you and perhaps you were alittle dehyrated too....a bad combo!
Glad you are having the nurse come again and that you parents are there to help...and smart that you are concentrating on protein.

Hang in there...soon you will be loving that new tummy  I can't wait to see the pictures

Hey Lizzy, glad your doing well keep meditating you'll keep the pain away. I don't know if I mentioned in a previous post but Walmart, Supertarget, maybe a GNC they have little vials of concetrated protein like 25 grams in 3.0 oz tube. They don't always taste the best but when you have to get some protein in this will do they trick. Send one of your folks out to walmart as they are the cheapest have them pick up a 6-pack for 10 bucks, also tastes about the best they are made by bodyfortress. I like to refrigerate mine goes down better.

It gets easier after first couple days you'll see,
