He also gave me the book when I went for his consult. But thank you so much for the offer.

Man, I feel for you. Six weeks is loooong.

I only had 2, one out at one week. Second out at 3 weeks.
Both insertion sites are nasty scars. Boo.
They look worse than my surgical incisions.

Glad you are on your way.
It is so liberating to be free of them.

Breasts and arms coming up for me in Dec. Starting all over.
He told me I will have one in each breast and one in each arm.
Oh, goody.

But, it beats a seroma any day!

Yeah, he was really pleased about my long-term compliance. I go back in 2 weeks to check on seroma stuff, but he taught me how to tell if it is fluid build up vs. just soft tissue swelling. I have read about ladies having breast ones, but very few. Wonder what decides who gets a breast drain.

Not long for you now!!!

Awesome!  I cannot imagine 6 weeks of drains!  I prayed and prayed that I would not have to keep mine the 3-4 weeks the doctor had warned me about.  Luckily, at 2.5 weeks yesterday I had all 4 removed!  I feel so much better!

Wow. and I thought 10 days was bad. I would have lost my mind at day 41 if I still had drains. Glad you made it through. I was told I could shower as soon as I got home from surgery, even with the drains. I think I waited a few days.

Thank God I didn't count it in days--damn--41 days sounds really long--guess it really was very long. I think I stood it as long as I did because they stopped pinching and pulling at the insertion site. Had they hurt that whole time I probably would have gone bonkers (well, even more bonkers!! LOL!). Showering also helped. I can't imagine going that long--uck.

Have a great weekend!!
