Plastic Surgery Consults

SO I went to another plastic surgeon today. First of all he didn't look anything like his facebook pic, or the pic that he sent me in the mail with the info packet. He looked so different, that when he popped in the room I jumped. As a matter of fact, I was kinda freaked out the whole visit after that.. He commented on my nervousness THREE times.

Also he didn't tell me to take off all my clothes.. nor did he take photos. And he jiggled my backside fat like it was jello, asking did I want this cut off.. NO thanks.. I will keep my backside jiggly... He was $500 more expensive than the female plastic surgeon I went to a couple days before. His consult was free

The first plastic surgeon that I visited was horrible.. He had a bad bedside manner and pointed out a bunch  of stuff I had never noticed, and I look at myself naked daily. Also he had me go into the office manager and the price he quoted me just moments ago changed by $2K.. I was like.. this isn't what he told me.. do you have the right person.. That left me unsettled. But he was $3,000 less than the other two.. But he told me my scar removal would be a seperate procedure that would take 6 weeks to heal. Also his price didn't include a breast lift. His consult was free

I liked the female surgeon the best, she kept it real and had a pleasing bedside manner and was very detailed, and gave me a realistic consult. Her consult was $75

Just a recap, I lost 132 pounds and want a tummy tuck and  a breast lift/augmentation.

Most of the local PS I have talked to charge a fee, anywhere from $100 to $180. One Dr would deduct the fee from your surgery, but the other 2 would not. I am going to mexico anyway, Dr Sauceda, made me feel more comfortable, took more time with me and is a lot less expensive then the local ones. Choose the one you are most comfortable with, this is too important a decision to let $2000 make your mind up.

It's really good that you're doing multiple consults so you can get a feel for these surgeons and be even more confident in the choice you ultimately make. I know it's a stressful, time-consuming process. I'm so glad that I didn't go with the first PS I consulted with though, I later found out that he had tons of people suing him for bad surgeries.

Cost is always a consideration but you're gonna have to live with the results for the rest of your life so if you end up paying a little more money for a better surgeon and better result, then it's totally worth it. My breasts were SOOOOO expensive (seriously, people choke when I tell them how much they cost) but once I get all healed and have my issues fixed, they'll have been worth it. I'm hoping my TT tomorrow will be the same.

I also had a breast lift with augmentation, with TT tomorrow. If you want to friend me you can see my pictures in my album. I have lost about the same amount of weight as you.
