The profile has to do with the shape of the implant.  So if you have a 400cc implant, regular would be wider at the base, less projection.  Higher profile are smaller at the base, more projection for the same cc's of silicone.  I believe most implant manufacturer's make a regular, moderate profile, and high profile - depending on the look of projection you want.  When I talked to Dr Sauceda, he said he used Mentor brand implants, which is what I got from my PS.

I think you're already my friend on here so you can see my BA/BL pics. I'm just now posting my pre-op TT pics (yikes!) so you can look at those too to get an idea of my body proportions. I'm 5'9, 162-ish, size M on top and 10 pants and I had 480cc saline under the muscles. But that was also with a lift that took away quite a lot of hanging skin. I honestly don't know what size bra I am because my implants haven't softened up enough yet for me to wear a bra, but I know I'm at least a 34D, more likely 34DD once they drop. I was a 34C before (but most of it was skin that I was rolling up and tucking into the bra).

I'm on the justbreastimplants website also, it's a fabulous site. I spend hours there still. Yes, it really does depend on your breast width diameter. I wanted to go smaller but the width of the base of my breasts made it so that if I had gotten a smaller implant, it wouldn't have filled up the base and would've resulted in too wide of a gap between my breasts. Your BWD (breast width diameter) is hard to measure accurately yourself so you should have a plastic surgeon do it. And yes, definitely get pictures of breasts that you like in terms of proportions. Because a C cup looks waaaaay different on a gal who's 5'0 than on a gal who's 5'10.

What I found helpful was to print and sort pictures into 3 categories: too big, too small, just right. It helped give my PS a good idea of the proportions I was looking for.

I go back and forth about how glad I am that I got the implants. Once I get all of my complications resolved I'll be 1000% happy, because I like the shape of them from the front (still boxy from the sides) and  I like having something on top to balance out my junk in the trunk. When I look at pictures of breast lifts without implants, I often see sort of a "pinned up" look, where it looks like the nipple has been yanked up and the rest of the boob has been left kinda dangling. I dunno how else to describe it. There also tends to be less projection of the breast, they look kinda like mushed headlights. But those are just some of the pictures I saw, not all. It totally depends on your taste. And on what you're comfortable with and can afford. Honestly, be prepared to deal with revision surgeries if you do get implants. Something might come up immediately (like in my case, I'll be planning a revision in about 4 months) or 2, 5, 10 years down the road. But they're not lifetime devices, they WILL need to be fixed or replaced at some point.

Hi Lizzy,  I went and looked at your before pics.  I still have more breasts left so I don't know what will happen with the lift.  I know that I'm not crazy about the lift look without the implants.  I spent a lot of time looking at that website yesterday to start to determine what I'd like to look like afterwards.

I'm going to start researching Mentor Gummy Bear Implants because that's what Dr. Sauceda uses, and see if I can't find some pictures to take to him.

Thanks for all your help.
Everyone on here is so awesome!!
