I have been a lurker for several years.  Had RNY 3.5 years ago and lost 90#.  I have been stable for 2 years.  I am having LBL on 11/16 @ KU Med Center Plastic surgery residency program. (Kansas). Cost $8,500, whi*****ludes surgery, Cosmetasure insurance, overnight stay, pain pump and all anesthesia and facility fees.  I want to thank all of you for your posts as it helped me find a residency program and to know what was possible for me.  By posting the fee I thought it would help others to know that they can have procedures done in the states.  I would have loved to have gone to Dr. S in Mexico due to his expertise, but too hesitiant to leave the country and be alone.

Yay! Another Residency patient! I too wanted Dr S, but the residency program made this possible for me. I went to UTSW in Dallas. I love my results!

 Thank You for posting.  Makes me aware of other options available.  I'm not sure if I will do another surgery but if I do, I will look into residency programs.

I was also looking to have surgery done with Dr. S, but looked for other options in the U.S. due to the fact that 12 days away wouldn't work at this time of the year due to my son being in school and summertime is  not good because it is busy for my job at that time.
I just booked my surgery yesterday for December 28 at the University of Maryland plastic surgery resident clinic. I am having an abdominoplasty ($4967.00) and thighplasty ($3584.00) for a total of $8551.00. I had to put a deposit of $4780.00 now to book the date and the rest is due at least 1 week before surgery. I am so excited to have found an option close to home and not have to have all of the money up front. Now I just can't wait until Dec 28!! Merry Christmas and HAPPY NEW YEAR  to me!!!

You're right, there are some great prices here in residency programs.  I had a consult at Lenox Hill in NYC and got a quote of $6500 for a LBL.
