Quote from Dr. Quiroz in Mexico...Is this too much?

Hello Everyone,
I had a virtual consultation with Dr. Quiroz from CosMed in TJ, Baja California and I was wondering what your experience was like? He seemed very friendly and knowledgeable but I think his quote was a little high for Mexico, I'm not sure if the fees went up because of that nice building/hotel resort they are building for their practice. I am trying to get an Anchor TT (revision from a previous TT, not the anchor style), lipo with fat transfer to booty, anesthesia and surgery center fees.

Anchor TT: 4000
Lipo/Transfer: 1000
Anesthesia: 500
Surgery Center: 800

Grand Total: $6200

thanks for sharing!

I can't speak to price, but you might want to run a search on your doctor' name. There have been some bad stories about him. Just a heads up.

OMG thank you for shedding some light...I was wondering why no one would post about CosMed until I searched him just like you advised. OMG I swear I changed my mind, I know all PS can make mistakes, God know mine did here in N. Cali but the thread that came up from last year scarred the crap out of me. I just dont know why some people wouldn't just post prior to this when I asked about CosMed...I dunno but I am glad I found out!

thank you,

I think a lot of the bad reviews for that particular doctor have been deleted, that's why it's hard to find posts about him.

I second the suggestion that you look into Dr. Sauceda. His prices are fantastic, and he has a terrific setup for aftercare. I haven't had plastics yet, but I'm seriously considering going with him. There's a group devoted to his patients, and there's tons of helpful info there. Good luck!

He's in Monterrey, Mexico. Here's the link to his website:

http://www.medicaltourism.com.mx/index.html

His site also has a price list, and prices include the hotel stay, and if your total exceeds a certain amount he even reimburses part of your airfare.

Have you consider Dr. Sauceda in Mexico?

I read his boards daily.  Lots of happy patients.  I haven't yet decided who to go to yet, but am leaning towards using him.

Dr. Sauceda is located in Monterrey, Mexico. His prices are excellent. I elected to go with Dr. L in Houston but Dr. S was about half the price.  Also included in Dr. S's prices are an extensive stay in a clinic post operation and then a free stay in the local Hampton Inn with daily visits from Dr. S and his nurse while you complete your recovery.   I found his package to be very tempting.
