I just love me some Lee!! You are so sweet. I think Holy Bat Monkey is my new favorite saying. I'm going to have to work that into conversation at least once today!

Based on everything I've heard about Dr. S you are in good hands. I'm sure you'll be happy!

Thank you for all your wonderfully kind words!!

Denise, I have NEVER said Holy Bat Monkey before, but when I saw your pics, it just flew out of my mouth.  I was astounded at your transformation.

I've been really stressing because I'm still averagining 3-5 pounds over a normal BMI and worrying if I was jumping the gun in getting plastics too soon.  I was worried that not being at a lower BMI would ruin my chances of a beautiful body afterwards.  I think you look gorgeous and if I remember correctly, you're not one of the 22 BMI's but maybe a little higher?

Thanks for having the courage to post your pictures.  I'm afraid to do that because of co-workers who are looking into surgery.

Have fun admiring yourself today and yes, do quit nit picking!!

Hi Lee! Sorry for the delayed response. Wanted to let you know that my BMI was over 30 before plastics and is now 28.9, so you are MUCH closer to your ideal BMI than I am. It always amazes me that I've come all this way to be...overweight. It sucks to think I'd need to lose another 30 pounds to be "normal". I know I could stand to lose some, but 30 pounds??? I think I'd look like a lollipop--big head and not much else! I am a fan of curves thankfully and have no interest in fighting tooth and nail for the rest of my life with eating and exercise. It is what it is now and I maintain with minimal effort (if you call the gym 3-5 times per week little effort--seems it to me because I enjoy it), so the price of living without stressing all the time about my weight is that I won't see "normal" on the BMI chart. For the record I must say that I think the BMI chart is an imperfect tool that does not take into account muscle mass. I choose to think I have LOTS of muscle! LOL!

Have a wonderful day!

Oh, and I got to work Holy Bat Monkey into a conversation yesterday, so I was a happy camper!! I think I'm going to have it put on a shirt. I can just see the little winged primate now!!!
 A monkey smiley--who'd a thunk it!!!

LOL about our Bat Monkey!

I think that the real thing post WLS etc is that we feel good in our skin and are happy with where we're at.  Someone can be a 22BMI and be miserable because of imperfections or someone can be 30 BMI and be over the moon happy.  I think that happy goes a long way in maintenance!

You look amazing!!  My jaw almost hit the floor when I saw the first "after" shot!  You don't look swollen at all to me (then again my PS has me coming back again in 2 weeks for a 5 week follow-up because I'm soooo swollen).  Congrats :)

Thank you! It is a little startling to go from the before to the after. Surely puts it in perspective and stops me from nitpicking my body to death.

My swelling has actually not been that bad that I can tell. I'm praying my thighs are still swollen, but othewise not so bad. Granted, having these stupid drains in this long may be helping pull off all that fluid. I'll let you know how it goes once this last drain is out!

Thanks again!

Denise, You lucky girl, you!  I'm amazed.  It's not even been that long.  I had to look back on your signature to see if it gave your surgery date.  When was it?   Wow, you must be very happy with your results.  Yaaaaay!  - Jenny

Funny enough, I was going to put a thread up asking everyone to put their plastics date/procedure in their signature. I can never remember who had what when (or who's planning what when). My surgery was 9/16, so 5 weeks Friday.

Thank you so much. All this feedback is gonna give me a big head (as long as I don't get a big belly again, that's fine with me!).
