I'm almost 4 months out from my lbl and was worried I was not going to go down even a single size. This week all my pants have suddenly gotten very loose, even though I have not lost a single pound. YAY!!

I need to go shopping!!

Congrats Laura! Guess your body was finally ready to get with the program.

Do you still retain fluid after 4 months?

Thanks. Yes, I can still get very swollen, even 4 months out. Most people do not seem to have it as bad as me this far out. Guess I'm just one of the "lucky" ones!!

Mine definitely has. Others don't seem to have had it as bad as me for as long as me. I just wanted to share my story in case others are getting discouraged (I definitely was when I did not think i'd go down in size).

My doctor told me to expect swelling for 2-3 months....However, the nurse at the hospital said people can swell for up to 6 months....Yuck.  You are doing wonderful....hang in there!

YAY Laura.  I know you were hoping to drop a size.  That's so cool that the swelling is abating and your body is showing you the results of your surgery.

Yes, please keep posting because all of us pre-ops are eager to learn from the experience of all those that come before us.
