Increased breast pain after wearing strap/stitch coming out from nipple??

Last night I tried to sleep with the strap on. I noticed when I rolled over that my boob was tender. Well when I took it off to massage this morning, my boob was really painful. Mostly when I tried to push the implant toward the center, but any movement of the breast hurt. It happened again tonight when I took the strap off.  I'm just surprised to be this uncomfortable with the boobs a month out. I guess having a lift and augmentation is making it take a little longer.

Then of course tonight I removed a small scab from near my nipple where the vertical incision starts below the nipple and there was a good 1/2 inch of stitch attached to it. Nice. I snipped it off because as I gently tugged it the separation got larger. I think if I pulled much more my nipple might have fallen off.  I had a little opening there a week or so ago, but it had healed nicelly. Or so I thought.

What is the deal??? I'm falling apart! I just want to feel better damn it!!!!

I'm off to ice my boobs....

You're trying to steal my support group, so I thought it was only fair to steal your thunder!!

Did you really almost rip your nipple off? Holy crap!!

I'm sorry I'm having a rough go of it too. Thankfully I'm not almost nippleless alone!

I'm 2 and a half months out and my boobs are finally not sore all the time. No implants, just a lift. And I'm finally getting a more normal level of sensation - not just nipple area but all over. For a long while it was either numb, tingly, or downright painful when I touched them at all.

I still sleep with a bra and a pillow for side sleeping because I find they wake up achy if they "hang" at all in the night. KWIM?

And I'm still spitting the occasional stitch as well. Damn boobs.

Just thought I'd let you know you aren't alone...

Definitely helps to know I'm not alone. I think over all, this healing process is simply going to take much longer than I ever imagined. The nipple sensation is something I am looking for to normalize (one numb, one hypersensitive). At least I don't have the sunburned skin feel anymore. Little victories I guess.  I continue to be thankful for supportive family and friends. And that I don't have to work. I don't know what I would do if I had to be back at work. Between the pain and the exhaustion from not resting well and low iron, I'm sure I'd be fired within a day for my suckish attitude and multitude of mistakes. I do have myself barricaded with pillows if I try to sleep in my bed. I'm still alternating between the recliner and the bed because neither is completely comfortable. Still spitting stitches?!? Do you tug them or snip them or what?

Thanks for chiming in!!

Oh for a little more creepy factor our surgeries are only one month apart as mine was march 3 2009.

I think you can go back to old post about 5 blood clots 4 weeks and read about nipple gate if your board.

Why you gotta be riding my coat tails--first birthday, now surgery day. Notice I do everything first. Why? Because I'm awesome.  Well, hopefully the next date we share in common will be hitting the lottery day!!! :) Of course, I'd like to go first on that one too so I can shut you up once and for all about this takeover nonsense you keep dreaming about! :)

And on top of it all you're giving me homework? Bored? Me? Never. Okay, maybe a little since I've been laid up with this surgery, but first I must sleep.

Zzzzzzzzzz....

I know what you mean about sensation.  I was beginning to feel like my boobs would ALWAYS feel weird.  I was getting used to it - and kinda missed when it transitioned over into mostly normal feeling.

I find my brain is "foggy" still.  I forget things that make no sense to forget.  Things that are pretty important.  To Do lists are a MUST now that I'm back to work.

I have always been a stitch "spitter".  I clip them or pull them - whatever gets rid of them.  Otehrwise they cause problems and pimples and generally drive me nuts.  My PS said to just clip them off if they come out of the skin and can't just be pulled out.  So that's what I do.  My one boob spit a KNOT - that was weird.  I kinda had to dig it out.  Gross I know.  But I left it alone for about 2 weeks and it was getting really nasty and troublesome.  Since I picked it out, everything has healed nicely.

People act like plastic surgery is the most glamourous thing ever--umm, bull**** is all I can say. Drains ripped out, nipples ripped off, numbness, shooting pains, stiches causing havoc, keloids, and generally just feeling like crap--I can hardly stand all the glamour!!

I find that I can't recall very simple words. Like couch. Very aggravating.

I probably should be careful what I wish for. Because of the numbness I didn't really feel it when I pulled the drain out so that was a nice bonus!!

Hope you had a good weekend!

I had a terrible weekend, but that's a whole other story! lol

The other day I had to drop off a job application.  Deadline 4pm.  I needed to print it out at work and make 6 copies.  I was driving home from work at 3:20 when I realized that I had forgotten all about it.  I made it by running home, printing out all 7 copies, and SCREAMING into the parking lot at 3:59.

Sometimes I feel like I have early onset alzeihimers.  Or however you spell that (I can't remember). lol
