can we talk breast lifts?

Hi guys...now that my date is set for the mastopexy (no implant) and brachio (Dec 14)...time for the Worry Train to leave the station!

I would love to hear from others who have had the girls lifted.

Here is my concern...and I will def be speaking with my surgeon too but here goes...

I have alot of fat/flab under my arms...like side boobage.

I still have to wear a DD because I have to take all that tissue and pull it forward into my cups.

And I wonder if the mastopexy will address that. Been looking around and have not seen any 'before' shots that look like me. My breasts are very wide and very flat. They are so wide...they are literally under my arm...even when I am standing up.

Anyone else have beeboos (my kid's word) like these? Did a mastopexy fix them up?
Has anyone seen a before shot anywhere that looks like me?

Let me hear from you!
I'm getting nervous.

I know my surgeon will do a great job...but he is not a magician ya'know??

Pardon my language but You can't make chicken salad out of chicken ****!

Sorry, I'm crass. That's what 24 years in the surgical ICU will do to you!

Hey there!! I also havewide set breasts that are themselves each wide. I do have tissue at the underarm/side boobage area, but not a lot. I will say that my lift did not remedy that. I hope others have a different outcome to share with you. Granted, had there been a great deal of extra tissue, perhaps he would have employed a different technique. I only had a lollipop (around the areola and straight down) incision vs. the anchor with cut along the crease. It would make sense to me that they can excise more tissue that way.

I'll be interested to hear what others have to say. Super good luck!!!

Oh, and I love crass!!!

When I asked my PS about the side flesh....he said a lift alone would NOT address it.  I do think he mentioned it would be addressed with the brachio.  But my arms are fine, so I didn't  really pay attention to that part of the explanation.

So....I would hope that with the combo you are having, the extra tissue would be addressed.

I had a full anchor lift, and my PS specifically said that in order to get rid of the flabby skin on the sides under my armpit, he'd had to extend the incision on the underside of my breast (in the crease). He said he could either stop the incision where the implant would stop, thus hiding the scar better, but leaving a little bit of extra skin on the sides, or he could extend it a bit and it would be visible. It would just be a horizontal line that continued from under my boob, to under my armpit. I said, stop it under my boobage and you can extend it later if I'm unhappy. So that's what he did. On one side the boob looks pretty good but on the other side I have a little 'dog ear' tag where there's extra skin kind bunched up at the end of the incision so I think I'm gonna ask him if he can just do a little snip snip on that when he's doing my tummy tuck in a month. So it sounds like you've got the same issue but with more skin than me, you'll probably end up needing a scar that goes horizontally on your side under your armpit.

Are you going to get a full anchor lift? I imagine so, if you've got IHOP pancake titties (I'm a former member of that club).

And don't give up, you might think you'll only be able to get a so-so result, but I'm freaking blown away with what my surgeon was able to do with my boobs. You'll feel so good to have your nipples pointing skyward instead of brushing your knees!!!

I had my arms lifted about a year before my breasts and that surgery took care of alot of the extra side skin (incision goes from below my elbow up my arm through the arm pit and down about 6 inches.  My before breasts sounded like what you're describing.  I wore a DD before and I still wear a DD.  Good luck

I would think it can be taken care of with the bracchio and lift. I had my brachio and lift done separately, though, so I still have some bra bulge. My surgeon promised he will take care of it when I get my implants.

I had a breast left and reduction before WLS and let me tell ya, the side boobage definately is annoying. I wear a 44 D, but would be able to get away with a 40 if not for the side boobage. I do plan on in the future to have a scar revision and I'm gona see if they can transect that extra tissue as well.

My dr. described a cut that went out (from the anchor) to under the armpit to get rid of that extra skin.

When he did mine, he said that my side skin wasn't that bad, and he was able to pull it in with the shorter anchor cut.  With the way I tend to keloid scars, he didn't want to do the extra long incision if he didn't have to.

I still have some "side" boobage, but not nearly as bad as before.  I'm happy with it as a compromise.

Oh - I had my arms done first - and it didn't touch that side boobage at all.  My incision goes into my armpit, but at an angle toward the back...

My lift with implants didn't eliminate the side boobage the way I had hoped it would. I later went in and had an upper flankplasty where the incision was continued from under my breasts and under my arms and into my back. I have pictures on my profile.

When I get my lift done, the plan is to extend it through the armpit to take care of the side boobage and do a sort of mini brachio (as my arms are not bad at all).
