Need Some Happiness

The area where the incisions intersect commonly heals slower or the tissue may even get necrotic.  This will take time, local wound care, avoidance of infection (that can further damage delicate tissue)and close follow up to heal.

If your surgeon is out of town, he must have designated another surgeon to cover for him.

A wound vac is an option for some patients who ahve alrger open spots, smaller ones may benefit from a variety of topical treatments.

Have your doc agree to and then set up a routine followup schedule, and also a way to respond if you have issues between appointments.  We use email and emailed photos and deal with issues as they arise with almost no delay for patients. Also allows us to spot little issues early and keep them from becoming big ones later.

Dr. L, thank you so much for coming online to help and advise us.  I really appreciate all of your input.  I understand that you're a fabulous surgeon and would think of coming to see you if I wasn't in Northern California.

Take care and thanks again!
