I am peeking around for lower body lift/ small thigh lift consult options and I was hoping yall could perhaps suggest some docs that yall have had good outcomes with.  I have been roaming in the archives seeing if I can sleuth some good docs out, but figured I would ask *and* sleuth!

I sure appreciate it!

Hey there! I have recently had consults with 3 Atlanta surgeons who all have experience with post weight loss patients (Lincenberg, Namnoum and Lawrence). I haven't had my surgery yet, but I decided to go with Dr. Marisa Lawrence, because I was absolutely amazed at her many before/after photos of weight loss patients and the staging we agreed upon. At the other offices, the physicians had several examples of weight loss patients (Lincenberg and Namnoum wanted to take very different courses of action with my surgeries - definitely get several opinions and consults!), but when Dr. Lawrence brought out two 3-inch thick binders of patients who all had the same rolls and flaps of skin I do, I knew I was in the right place. She is highly experienced.

She then took an hour with me, going over the various options and being very hands on with manipulating my skin, etc. Her pricing was reasonable and I hope to be having a LBL, BA and Brachio with her in January.

As an FYI, none of the 3 surgeons I saw were willing to do the thighs in conjunction with a LBL. You will likely find that they want to stage them into 2 surgeries.

In the other 2 doc's B/A's (I didnt see Dr. Lawrence body lift afters) their scar lines are very high in the back - were all of theirs like that in the photos you saw?

I didnt know if that was their preference or if their patients had brought in way high cut panties for the marking session.

Thanks!!

And too, I have sent an email asking, but does she charge a consult fee - if you are comfortable sharing?

thanks!

I know that Dr. Lawrence and Dr. Namnoum were $100 each for their consults. Dr. Lincenberg was $20 when I mentioned that I found out about him via a WLS support group.

I can't recall for comparison sake, but I believe Dr. Lawrence does more of a straight incision on the upper bottocks and Lincenberg did more of a rounded m shape a bit higher up. Namnoum was big on butt augmentation, but the other 2 didn't suggest it.

I am sure incision placement is selected on a per  patient basis, due to the skin and fat deposits of that person. Definitely ask that question in your consults. I wasn't that concerned with the rear incision and was more concerned about the arm scar, not having an anchor cut around my nipples and whether or not I'd need a verticle incision for my abdomen.

Good luck!

Another place I am consulting at is Swan Center, in Alpharetta, with a Dr. Amy Alderman, just for another place to pop on by and see what's what, if you are making a list of places for visiting.

I am in the POST-OP stage as I sit here and type!!!

I had a thigh lift and that extra skin removed from my arms.  Brachiplasty and a thigh lift

I went with Dr. Muriel Keith Hanna and he is the BEST.

The support groups that I attend had a series of plastic surgeory and had the different surgeons that my wls Dr endorses.  After to listening to them all, I went to two different surgeons for a consult.  I decided on Dr. Hanna for several reasons.  1. His experience, 2. The professionalism and warmth of the entire office, 3. The time and patience he displayed with me, 4. The quality of his work that I had seen, 5. The fact that he won't do certain things at the same time and why, even though other surgeons will, 6.  His geninune concern.

I am only 10 days out and I look great already.  He has called me personally twice and the nurses have called as well.

I stumbled on here today because I am still off work but I rarely ever log in.  So if you want more info please email me at [email protected]
