These boobs are gonna be the death of me...

What. The. Hell. Seriously. My boobs are no more comfortable now than they were days ago. On day 8 and they are still incredibly tight, hot, sore--you name it. I've been doing the gentle massage suggested by the PS and I'm not feeling any relief.  I just can't believe this is the worst part of having a LBL and BL. Thank God I have an appointment Monday so someone can tell me what the hell is going on. I was so confident that he knew how to pick an appropriately sized implant based on the measurements he took and all of the discussion we had. I'm just praying it isn't a case of his using a too large implant, but it sure feels like that right now. I know everyone is different, but I'm reading about people back at the gym doing light workouts at 14 days postop. I hope the dropping and settling happens soon or I just may go bonkers.

Buyer's remorse setting in--mostly because I didn't go into this wanting implants, but when he suggested they'd be a good idea to balance me out after the tummy work, I said what the hell. Now I wish I'd said hell no. Thanks for letting me vent...

I'm sorry you're having a tough time, but keep telling yourself, "This too shall pass!" You will love the results eventually. I promise!!

How's the lbl part of your recovery going?

The LBL part is going okay. I'm moving much better, but still have this incredible weakness in my mid/lower back.  I'm also dealing with some numbness and swelling in my outer thighs that hurts a lot. Weird to say numb and painful at the same time. Still living in my recliner, which has been a God send. Had a little wound open up, but stayed on top of it and got it closed back up thankfully.  I also don't love the look of how my belly button is healing, but it is a great, youthful belly button. Never had a belly button before (at least not one I can see!), so I love it!!

Getting better everyday though.

Thanks for checking on me!!

I'm twice as long out as you (16 days) and my boobs are still swollen and high too. Take your pics, I'm telling you, when you compare week to week you'll SEE the improvement. You can't see it now because you look at them every day.

And those people doing light workouts 14 days PO? I think they must have a mental problem. A disorder or something. Because I'm still freaking *exhausted* and I didn't even have a LBL. You gotta give your body some slack, your breasts might take longer to drop and look normal than someone who only had their breasts done, because your whole body is in inflammation/healing mode, there's a LOT of stuff going on all over the place.

You're going to wake up one day with your breasts and it will suddenly be like the doctor just handed you your newborn child, you'll fall in love instantly and permanently.

The waiting game sucks. Especially if you have nothing but time to think about how much you're waiting.

Have you watched this video yet?
http://youtu.be/kIUBs4iqNwA

I think I've watched it 20x so far. Her breasts didn't even have a lift, and they looked seriously disturbing until a solid 2 months post-op. But look at how freakin gorgeous they ended up!! I mean, if I'm this in love with mine now while they're still frankentits, I don't know what I'll do when they're fully settled. Probably rent out billboard space for them near the freeway or something.

You have a lovely face and you're going to have a lovely body to match, just wait. I'm so excited for you! And next week after I've had my tummy tuck and I'm posting on here about how miserable and depressed I am and how none of it was worth it, you'll be here to say "Hang in there, it gets better!" and you'll be right.

I did see the video. It is WILD. Truly amazing. I do feel a bit better today. I did take pics the day you suggested it and need to do it again today. And your point about my body having to do a ton of work to heal is a very valid one. As is your point about having nothing but time to sit and think about it. And yes, I have to agree that the ones that get back to the gym that fast may have a screw loose! Seriously, I'm all for trying a light cardio workout, but this one I read about was doing real deal weight training.

You crack me up. You remind me a lot of me. I'm usually much more light hearted and witty--guess being cut in two and having my soft, cushy boobs replaced with unripe cantaloupes has me a little less than peppy! I'll make you a deal, we'll go in halvesies on the bulletin board once we are both "dropped and fluffed" (yes, I've made my way onto the booby forum!!) and we'll knock 'em dead!

Thanks for your kind words and encouragement. I hope to be able to return the favor!!

Take care!

Denise
