realistic about time off

I have been lurking around this board for a long time. I had a sleeve done 4 years ago.  I reached my goal in 6 months and I have been waiting for 3.5 years for plastics.  I am going to have it done in Oct or Jan.
Tummy tuck, breat lift w/ implant. I want to be realistic about how much time I need from work. I have a high pain tolerance, and no patience for laying around. I sit at a desk 60% of the time, and I am on my feet the rest of the time, if I have to lift more then 5lbs I can have soemone else do it for me. Is 2.5-3 weeks enough time off?
Has anyone else gone back to work that fast??

Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your input. I really think that 2.5 weeks will be enough.
I can't wait, but Jan still seems to be a lifetime away.

I work from home, and back in May I had a LBL, BA/BL, and Braichioplasty all done at once.    I took a little over a week off, and then started to work at home part time the second week.  As long as I could work from my recliner, and take frequent  breaks I was fine.  I was able to work and travel on week 3, although I was still pretty tired and swollen at the end of the day it was manageable.

I just had a TT, pani, breast lift, implants, and hernia repair and I have been released to go back to work Monday - which will be 2 weeks since surgery.  I feel pretty good, just get tired if I try to do too much.  I have a desk job as well and have done some work from home last week.  You should do just fine.

Good luck!

Fleur de Lis TT with muscle tightening.
Pain meds for 5 days then plain Tylenol.

Back to work at 3 1/2 weeks. I'm an RN but work mostly at my computer.

Could've gone back sooner but I had a drain in until my 3 week visit.
As soon as that sucker came out...I could wear panties and pants...back to work!!

I can't lie around. I was going crazy!!

I took off 2 weeks the first round, 1 week the second round.  I did fine but just got VERY tired, would come home & nap.  It will drive you crazy sitting around the house!  Sitting all day in my house looking at everything that needed to be done, or picked up, etc. & that apparently NO one else in my house could see or do, drove me crazy!  Good Luck!
