I am scheduled for my first of 3 surgeries in the beginning of December. When I asked the doctor how lng we would need to wait between surgeries, he said he would be able to operate 3-4 weeks after each of the surgeries. Therefore, I would have the BL and brachioplasty in Dec and then he is willing to do the LBL 3 to 4 weeks after that and the thigh lift 3 to 4 weeks after that. I am thinking waiting about 5 to 6 weeks between them would be a little better. What do y'all think?? Do you think it is plausible that I could wait 5 to 6 weeks between each surgery and that be enough time to heal enough for each new surgery. I am trying to make a tentative timeline for the beginning of next year (assuming there will be no big complications with any of the surgeries). Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks for the input! I met with 2 different surgeons. One of them suggested waiting about 6 weeks between surgeries and one suggested 3-4 weeks. I actually will be starting Grad School next August, so I am glad that the surgeons I have met with seem to think that these surgeries can all be done in a 3-6 month period. Obviously, if there are complications, things will get thrown off course a little (or a lot). However, I am very young, don't smoke, don't drink am not on birth control and am in overall great health. I am hoping that these things will help me heal faster. Unfortunately, I don't have 1 and a half years to spread these surgeries out over. If I can't get them all done by next august, any left will have to wait until grad school is over :( I really hope that isn't the case. I am going to call my PS's office on Monday and ask them to give me a realistic timeline of what he is thinking for my surgeries. I would love to hear other people's experiences with multiple surgeries. Have any of you had multiple surgeries? If so, how long did you wait between surgeries and how did it go? Thnks!
Hi - I had TT/LBL mid-August and having BL/BA and medial thigh lift late December (3.5 months later.) I was under general anesthesia 4 hours during TT/LBL and I swear it's still in my system! I felt like I recovered so much faster from RNY gastric bypass (same 4 hrs under general) - maybe because I was up and walking everyday and needed very few pain meds. TT/LBL was different... much longer on pain meds and much less active. It's wierd b/c I thought the recovery from plastics would be easier than RNY. Trust me it's not bad it's just taking longer... Full disclosure I just turned 50 but also very active, healthy and all that... I think you just never know so allow a little bit of a cushion if you can. Good luck!
I wanted everything done at once with one recovery period. I went to Dr Sauceda in Monterrey Mexico. I had the LBL, BL, arms and medial thigh lift, then 4 days later a full neck & face lift. I was off for 8 weeks. Dr S uses an epidural so that he can do more at one time. I had no problem coming out in recovery and will be going back in Jan 2013 for an UBL. Didn't think I'd need it, but cute, little tight tops, now roll in the back and don't look cute with the loose skin. :( Plus, it was affordable and I really liked having 24/7 care in the clinic for 7 days, then 7 days with Dr S and his nurse coming by daily while I was at the hotel. Most are only in the clinic for 3-4 days, but having my facelift it didn't make sense to move me to the hotel then back to the clinic...
