My plastic surgeon talked about using a wound vac, but I decided to wait and it started healing.  Of course, here in the US - the wound vac would have been as an outpatient - no staying in a hospital.  They won't keep you in a hospital if ANYTHING can be done at home - regardless of the pain & suffering!  .

There is talk of going home with a compact wound vac, but I am scared being home alone and would prefer to wait until after the Rosh HaShana so my friends don;t invite me for meals as I would rather just e home and not gallavanting around over a 3 day weekend and 7 special meals.

Mikimi, I'm so sorry to read that you are going through this.  I hope that your doctors take good care of you and that you being to heal more quickly now.  I love that you're keeping your spirits up!

Hospital stay not fun but sounds like you have better attitude then I did when I was in for a week. Sounds like your on the road to mending well keep it up. I know what you mean about the food I am having snack attack every 2 hours must get away from kitchen and go out to eat yah that sounds better!
